Well if you think about it... Freo finish above us and we get first crack at the gun WA midfielders that tore up the national championships - Masten, Palmer, Morton.

Not that we have any chance of winning with our best side but lets make damn sure we can't win.

How are the finals gone?

We're half a game out with 4 games to go. We could be in the 8 at the end of this round if we win this week against the Dockers, with games against the two worst teams coming in the two weeks after that.

I accept the odds are agaisnt us making the finals, but to not play Hird (if he is fit) just so you can give him a send-off in the two MCG games, when we are sitting half a win behind 8th is madness.

We need him this week, because it gives us a better chance of winning, and therefore a better chance of making the finals, which are very much alive.

Or we can play him too early and see him finish his career sitting on the bench.
The finals are gone , with our percentage we will have to win 4 games from here , are you tipping us to beat the Eagles in the last round?

in the post match press conference sheedy said they would rest rama and bring in dyson and also play gumbelton at CHF, whether that means lucas will be rested i dont know..

i hope gumby is at CHF and lucas and lloyd are kept deep in the 50, i recon gumby will have an awesome match if he isnt competing against lucas and lloyd for the ball.. if lucas and lloyd are both roaming aruond the 50 as is gumbetlon 99/100 the ball will be kicked to lucas or lloyd
if we just have gumby around CHF he will be a good option... i personally think he is ready to play well at AFL level. after watching his debut match he does look ready he just needs more opportunities to show the team he is a massive talent

Hird to be given another week and be farewelled at MCG against blues and tigers. He can come back in with Lucas and rama after a rest.

Have to stick to only 3 kpp forward and back, need more grunt in engine. NLM, McPhee, Welsh to have big impact games if to have any chance against Freo. Freo are more inconsistent than us so depending which side turns up we are a chance.

There are a few things that have to happen before some of the changes people here want (maybe checking the injury lists would be a good idea )
Anyway.

Jetta has missed two weeks of footy with a quad injury . He hasnt resumed full training yet so chances are he will be struggling fitness wise.
JJ has bee of the training track since last wednesday with some goin sorenss so i could see him coming up to senior standard.
Dempsey has had a minor set back with his good hammy so he will need some game time with Bendigo.
Sam Lonergan looks to be gone for the season so we dont get a look at him.
Jay Neagle who has only had one VFL seconds game back.

This leaves the pool of players available for selection currently as
Kyle Reimers - got some more match time for the Bendigo seconds yesterday and would be considered.
Bachar Houli - who has been pretty consistant for a few weeks now. Also played on sunday.
Heath Hocking - who has been playing well for a while now.
Ricky Dyson
Scott Gumbleton
Kepler Bradley
Scott Camperealle - hasnt had any recent games but did do a full week on the track last week.
Chris Heffernan.

Lets hope that they are looking at Houli , Reimers , Hocking , Dyson and Gumby

This is his third season.

I am not seeing any improvement in him. In actual fact he's going backwards.
By the way, he doesn't do much with the ball when he touches it either.
