and small defenders have been a weakness for years. Be interesting if he plays close to goals

I wouldn't worry toooo much. He is an absolute freakish talent but will be a bit rusty. What you can expect is absolutely relentless pressure and attack on the ball.
As you may be able to tell, we are just excited to see our man back out there![]()
The little I have seen of him , he is more of a Varcoe type better wing/HF rather than a FP type ?
I'm sure you are excited , how the GWS thought it was a good idea dealing those u17 pick to you guys.
As I said in our thread , Hall be dropped.... pretty nice player dare say some will be inquiring about him if he is out too long
Jack is pretty complete. He could be an inside mid if he had the muscle for it. Great ball winner, freakish agility and excellent pace. Very strong overhead mark for a player his size. Some of the marks he takes just do not make sense one bit. Has an amazing footy brain and is a great kick on either side. Probably his only downfall is he can sometimes spray his shots on the run. Set shot he is extremely good. As Campbell Brown said, he is a Rioli type +10cm with a bigger tank and ability to play midfield. Probably a bit premature to compare to Rioli but the comparisons come from the agility and sheer freakish football smarts he has. Has an absolutely lightning quick side step. Will spend a fair bit time forward though on the weekend given he is playing his second game. Who knows how he will go. I have watched a lot of him as a junior so I trust he will go okay. Doesn't get overawed easily.
Hall gets away with a fair bit usually, good to see him finally having to earn his spot. Great player when he is in form, just needs a proper pre-season.
Hang on here with Martin. Everyone is wrapped to see him back and are saying he will be a huge inclusion for us. Guys, get real, he has played 10 minutes of AFL footy. He hasn't played for some 13 weeks. We are up against Geelong, a powerhouse, yet everyone is saying he will be a gun for us this week.
Now that's not going to be the case at all.
When Martin gets some full on game time over the next few weeks I feel we will see just how good he is, but geez our expectations of him are putting huge pressure on the young man. Need to back off a bit here guys.
and Martin none....Martin in!!!
May god have mercy on the Cats small defenders.
Gold Coast area (Sunday)
Mostly sunny. Winds west to southwesterly and light becoming east to southeasterly during the afternoon then becoming southerly during the evening.

Keep shouting everyone down. It might work for you eventually (Y)Why don't you actually read my posts mate? I have said countless times I expect he will be a bit rusty. I am describing his attributes from what I saw of him as a junior. Get off it.
The rest of it is all a bit of a laugh given the hype around. Didn't think it would be THAT hard for you to distinguish.
Keep shouting everyone down. It might work for you eventually (Y)
love your contributions!Yes, how could anyone not like what the God is posting? Can't believe how serious everyone is taking the Martin comments. So much tongue in cheek.
I'm excited to see Martin, but perhaps even more excited to see how he plays with Harley. Once those guys get some chemistry they are going to be electrifying.
