He's been bashed so thoroughly here, I don't get it. A premiership player who gives his all and got more out of himself than he had any right to. Seems like a really nice bloke too.

Yes he has severe limitations and can be very frustrating as a result, and I would like to see a more gifted player replace him ASAP, but he deserves far more respect than he gets.

Burn's gone = disappointing, would have thought he was one of the better assistants and Hawthorn see it that way.

Balta will prove to be a better player then him. It's interesting people are focusing on Key Defenders very early in the draft when typically they can be had quite late as it's an easier role to play.

At 6 imo hopefully we have a real hard look at Fogarty, Brander and at a stretch Balta (I like him maybe early at 6 but if a very average kick in Naughtons being put up here...), and if he miraculously slides to us Rayner clubs are knocking his endurance but the kid is a talent imo should go at 1 but wont by the sounds.

Would be a big loss as he has been pretty good the last two years with a fair amount of injuries and depression to deal with.

Has had a contract in front of him - as yet unsigned.

His manager stating he wants more senior opportunity and (realising his best chance is as first ruck) being behind Grundy will be a tough ask to supersede him.

Hence the speculation he is weighing his options, now hopefully the club can sway him to stay. But given Ramanauskas response that doesn't sound good. neilk
