But his long kicking into the fwd line would be epic
Ellis played his best footy when on the wing and not in defense

Rancey takes shortys spot in defense
Picket ,,Graham ,, Ross, or Stack one of theses 4 gets a Guernsey the other 3 in the vfl

Caddy's wing position will come under pressure too. From someone getting squeezed out of the backline. Or from Ross, Higgins or Stack.

if caddy gets knocked out of the team its a pretty good sign at the competition for spots

or caddy is in rubbish form

I thought Caddy size and mongrel have been important in the latter part of the season even if its not his natural spot

Can't see Caddy being dropped if he starts 2020 the way he finished 2019. His hardness on the field reminds me of Mitch Robinson who would always be one of the first five picked for the Lions. And Caddy has a long track record of kicking goals from everywhere around the 50 meter arc. Maybe George could convert more of his possessions to goal assists passing off to Caddy.

Higgins - Georgiades* - Rioli. If he grows a few centimetres Georgiades is a more athletic JR.

Int/ Stevens* - Philip* - English - ####. Stevens and Philip are 187 188cm mids who win their own ball. Philip in particular is very quick to go with it and Stevens is just well rounded.

With the 4 inclusions every area is covered bar say a sml fwd and we have a lot on the list just a bit older so its not an issue.

Couldn’t agree more. Caddy is too good of a player to not have in the team. He is hard, courageous, skilled, and a good mark, + proven goal kicker. Give him an off season to master his new role and I reckon he will be a lock for the team week in week out.

I just love Caddy. He offers so much more than stats. Hard at it, never wastes a disposal and just makes us better as a team. We walk taller with him in the side and his contribution can never be underestimated. Had a massive impact in 2017 and was huge in 2019 with the new role. For all his flaws he makes us better.

Caddy is an A lister, reliable at a contest and can finish up forwards.
