Weekend Wrap and "Liked, Learned, Hated" right here -- How did tipping go?

Spangher was horrible early but he improved as the game went on and did make 2 or 3 quality spoils which was something he hadnt done much before. Contested, genuine spoils. His positioning is still poor and he is better at spoiling when he arrives late (no body on body) but he improved.
Wilkes was WAY worse than you suggest. He was terrible. Genuinely bad. Brain fades, poor skills, terrible athleticism and just ordinary as a one on one defender. He is just a WAFL player. He took a couple of good marks but his move away from defense was telling I think - he is not good enough.
I am interested in your views on Davis. His weaknesses have been decision making and disposal. He was still suspect in this area and he was isolated by the crows when used as a defender and his one on one defending was pretty poor (he had good opponents but its the AFL that will happen)... I would have thought he is no automatic upgrade. Your thoughts?
Wilkes wasnt as bad as Spangher was. Both were very average. And your blind hate wins out again E87 suggesting Wilkes was way worse. Perhaps you could be objective and take off the coloured glasses hey?
, can't agree with that. Why was Wilkes moved from defence if he was doing OK? Wirra was worse than Spangher. Scott Selwood sells teammates into trouble with a handball very often, in fact, so does Adam, yet you hear nothing of that.Log in to remove this Banner Ad

Ok. Thats an opinion and we all have them.
I just think yours is completely and utterly unfathomable. Wilkes is a poor mans Trent Carroll.
for Subi in the WAFL.
for Subi in the WAFL.
Why?

Why?
Exactly, remember tesser, we need WP to knock off Subi this week, so Swans can knock off those other pretenders in Sowfs and we can take 2nd spot, get the double chance and unleash the reserves.![]()
Bit worried Swannies, Jeffrey Farmer tore his hammy at training yesterday, in doubt for the finals.
Because we have a kid in Ash Smith who deserves a game, a kid with one seriously high ceiling. If he can develop a decent tank he will end up as Robin to Swifts Batman, i would play Swift 75% of game time and have Smith follow him around for a long as he can. Give Swift the instruction to get he hard ball into his hands as many times as possible.
Fletcher has no future, i would like to build onfield relationships, ala Glass, McKenzie, Hurn, Brown, Butler and Scooters in the backline. Currently we have only seem glimpses of indervidual efforts through the middle. We have no Cox, Masten or Kerr, with Shuey not playing a game this season i would like for us to experiment.
Ouch, although Phillips, whilst not the same league, was an OK to good replacement wasn't he? Or just the 1 good game? What's happened to Dell'olio? Started with a bang, but now......
Not worries about Dell'olio, quality young kid who's kicked enough floating forward and through the middle to tell me he'll be ok come finals.
Phillips aint in the same league as the wiz, last year he could have won us the game against the Swannies, bagged 5.5.
Not sure if Brandon Matera can qualify, but he'd be a handy replacement.
Mundy, where does Dell'olio sit in the draft projections (in your view). He can play but seems to have gone off the boil... would of thought WC would have some interest, no?

Dell'olio has been spoken to by Port on a number of occasions, West Coast may have spoken to him, but in his opinion he thinks Port are his best bet.
Dell'ollio suffers from being the young bloke in a team of old fella's looking for a flag. The middle consists of Bell, Kris Miller, Ray Smithers and Theo Adams, he's a rotation in the middle and then is asked to push forward.
For what has been asked of him, he's been excellent. When he is on, there is no better player in the WAFL. Sounds pretty extreme, but that is how highly I rate him.
