Lecras a fine at most. Like Dermie said it was just the rattle of a solid hit timed well. Wasnt any head contact.

AhChee to replace Venables but with a longer break reckon he might be ok considering he was going to come back on.

This has been going on his entire career its not new. He has only played one good game all year and as usual it happens when we are flogging a team.
He played his best as the game was up for grabs, actualya played worse towards the end when we were winning easy (but still playing well)

On the Contrary, he has played well.
With the help of the coaching panel, he has reinvented himself.
Has been a great asset ALL YEAR, busted a gut with hard running and providing a great link as well pushing hard to create a loose man up forward.
Give credit when credit is due. He is absolutely in no danger of getting dropped.

Just listed it if forced.

Rough conduct could be the charge. If it's judged intentional and medium impact to the body, that's 2 weeks down to 1 with a plea. If judged careless with the same conditions, it's a fine. However, I wouldn't rule out high impact due to the resulting concussion, which could make it 2 --> 1, or 3 --> 2 if intentional.
It was in the play and not to the head . Ump 1m away didnt even give it a free kick .
If he was concussed it wasnt from lecras but from when he hit the ground from a fair bump

Masten has busted his ass all season . Have you seen when we switch its always masten and gaff busting a gut to get to the other wing .
Or when the opposition switches its masten redden gaff and duggan busting ass to switch our zone to the other wing .

So much off the ball running done by a lot of unsung heros in our team . Cripps is another that does a huge amount of unrewarded running playing his role .

Get off the masten hate he is playing dam well and getting his 2015 form back is massive for our team

That's been a strength of Waterman's play so far as well.

If lecras gets rubbed out for that, you may as well not bother with footy any more it is a contact sport after all.. id give the pet a run just to check him out especially in the front half pushing up the wing with his pace on the g could be very usefull.. that is if venars isn't playing..

Doesn't matter, body still counts. Did you read what I posted? If it's rough conduct he's probably looking at a week. Just a fine if you think it wasn't high impact, but that may be wishful.

You are allowed to bump in the body during play . Its only rough conduct if its off the ball .
A free kick had been signalled, and advantage had not yet been given. LeCras had other options that wouldn't have ended Ainsworth's day. For what it's worth I don't think it should be penalised, but in reality expect a week.

He is allowed to bump ! Its in the rules
Lecras didnt make contact with his head .
Ainsworth had already had his nose broken from a friendly fire incident earlier .
Reality expect a week ? **** no .

I actually believe that Redden isn't the greatest of defensive mids. He's doing that role ok atm but imo Hutch is much better suited to that role. I'd still send Redden to EP so that he can actually get some form racking up the footy. Then actually bring him back into to the side as an on baller. I'd get him playing as an on baller/wing/HF. I'd also like to see Shuey play forward at times. Especially when tagged.

It wasn't really after the whistle, because if he lets him run on it's advantage to Gold Coast. He killed the play, with a legal action that was well executed.

If Sandilands gets off for a high bump off the ball, how can Lecras be suspended for a legal bump on a player who had the ball in his hands?

The impact to the body ruling is there pretty much exclusively for dirty play such as "tummy taps" etc. I can' recall it ever being used for legitimate bumps of tackles or there would be reports every time somene put on a half decent tackle.
I reckon they won' even cite it unless there is some vision of head contact which I couldnt see.
Fine at the worst but likely nothing IMO

People are just using the ‘defensive mid’ excuse because we are winning and people don’t like critiquing players when we’re winning.

If he’s playing a role I would like to know what it is, because it’s certainly not tagging. The Masten semi-tag maybe

Nah his game against Sydney was absolute trash and you know it.
Fair call to say he played well in the other games. He's got better each game.

The test is against the better sides away where he has a history of going missing.

The difference is that the the guy who Sandi hit wasn't concussed out of the game.

Bottom line, if you bump someone and they get concussed you're gorn.

I hope he doesn't, but would be staggered if he didn't miss a week for that.

Before yesterday's game, where he was apparently hampered, he was averaging 18 disposals, 3 marks, nearly 5 tackles, and 4 clearances. Even including last night's down game he's third in tackles and fourth in clearances in the side.

Last season he averaged 20.4 disposals, 5 tackles and 3.5 clearances.

You're wrong. The pick we traded ended up as pick 21 which was used by North on Ben McKay. The next picks before Partington were Kieran Lovell, David Cuningham, Ben Keays (academy pick so the most we could've done was bid on him), Josh Dunkley, Kieran Collins and Darcy Tucker. The only one of those I'd be upset on missing out on would be Dunkley, but he reportedly had an agreement with Sydney that they'd match a bid by a non-Victorian side.
What's the point of all this?

I literally said i'm taking everything on face value. The statistics i gave are correct, so why bother taking out certain games to make a point?

And thank you kind sir, it has already been pointed out academy selections had an impact on that picks worth and why it was pushed down. Cheers for taking the opportunity to tell me i'm wrong though. Well done, you're a true hero, can you sign my kids baseball jersey :thumbsupemoji::thumbsupemoji:

Who knows with this MRP but you have missed two important distinctions. Bump someone and hit them in the head and if there was an option to contest the ball and you are gone.
The player had the ball and the bump didnt appear to be high, therefor play on. We should find out soon enough.

True enough but the question remains, where did the concussion come from?

Doubt it was an earlier incident otherwise he wouldn't have gone back on.

We especially need Lecca this week after losing Ryan and Veneables.
