So who's gonna be the travelling emergency?
All three

EP have a bye this weekend so no need for anyone to stay behind

3 late changes confirmed.

Karps for Mutimer, McInness for Vardy, Hutch for Duggan. Delicious melts all round.

If they are injured then we don't exactly have much to choose from. Our depth is shithouse.

Teams can have off days, that's what I think he means by "taken lightly", where they can idle along for games and not play to their full potential. I don't see anything wrong with what he's saying there? It happens with all sports.

But the GWS game was a bit of a slog and those guys never gave up and neither did Adelaide. If anything we dragged GWS down to our level a bit.
We had Nic Nat the Magician playing!!

NOT confirmed. They are giving all players in doubt up to the last minute to prove their fitness, so won't know until the day of the game, and as somebody else said we are taking all emergencies as EP have a bye.

Watched the SGIO top moment about the 2016 win at Adelaide oval. It pumped me up seeing the boys fly the flag for Gaff after he was hit cheaply from behind. Yeo and Cripps for initially getting in and then Schoey and Shuey come around the whole pack just to tear him to shreds as he lies there limply. Props to those 4.

I hope the team is fired up. Also hoping Duggan gets up for the game.

Would be a shame if Duggan missed- he's been building some form.

Would we bring in another 2nd gamer if he doesn't get up, though?

The realist in me would say that Hutchings would get over the line, but I'd really love to see us give Karps a go. Think he would do well with our forward mix- plus I think he would be more capable of kicking 2-3 goals than Duggan would.

Obviously I prefer Duggan to have some continuity, but should he miss I do hope Karps gets a run back in his home state.

If Karps did get a go in front of Hutchings it really says a lot about how they rate Hutchings these days.

Well, Simmo did make a point in his presser about giving the younger players more of a chance since we are a mature group and need to keep an eye on the future which was quite pleasing to hear.

Happy to take in no changes and that the travelling emergencies aren't standard ones (bar Hutchings) like Jetta, Schofield or Mackenzie.

Hope Muttymier gets up and can play his natural game more than he could in the derby.

Would mean maybe Karpany comes in for Duggan but I'm OK with that.

I think he is starting to balance it out and knows if we do not start playing some kids we could be screwed later on but he also knows we are a chance to win the flag.

Schofield , Emac, Hutchings and Jetta are players he could be playing but he is at least giving some time to Mutimer, Duggan, Nelson and keeps putting games into Sheed and Barrass who are still quite young.

Not necessarily - it might be due to balance. Personally don't think Priddis, Redden & Hutchings in the same side is a good idea as they are similar types of players which then slows us down? Should Redden or Priddis get dropped, then by all means bring in Hutchings but not so sure he would be a good replacement for Duggan.

Would be nice if Karps had a breakout game in Adelaide in front of the Adelaide media .
Perfect trade swap for young Mitch McGovern . ;)

Looks like both Vardy and Duggan have seemingly been cleared to play.

Eagles assistant coach Dean Cox confirmed Vardy’s availability and said emerging midfielder Liam Duggan was also set to play against the Power after getting through his test on a corked thigh.

“Vardy got through training, so he should be right to go,” Cox said.

“Duggan got through. All the boys got through, which is very pleasing.”

Well this is a disappointing turn of events...

Why? - I would have thought it was good news that both Vardy & Duggan have been declared fit. Mind you I still wouldn't be surprised to see a last minute change prior to the game!
"2017 sponsor of Malcolm Karpany. Witness the Evolution!"

I am the player sponsor of one Malcolm Karpany, and I can't see how this news helps my player get a game :D
