I know the Bullants game is on Sunday, but these are 2 obvious changes IMO.

Ins

Setanta O'hAilpin- We missed him tonight. He would've been perfect matchup for Kosi and a better matchup for Riewoldt than Jamison after Waite was moved off him.

Andrew Walker- A disgrace that he didn't play against the Saints.

Outs

Joe Anderson- He isn't good enough in my opinion. He got a bit of the ball tonight, but he turned it over continually. He doesn't have a good kick at all.

Jake Edwards- Doesn't work hard enough. In the first 1/2 he was terrible as a forward and when moved to the backline in the 2nd half he was ok but I'd rather Setanta play as a defender than him. He unfortunately isn't going to make it as a forward or a defender.

I like your thinking

Premature but.

IN: Walker, Pfeiffer, Hartlett.
OUT: Russell, Browne, Edwards.

Would like to fit Hammo in to the team somehow as well.

Walker I think could have made a huge difference tonight. We lacked a genuine opponent for Milne and I think Walks could have done the job on him. Also his rebound off the HBF would have been very handy and something I am looking forward to seeing next week.

I know he gets belted by BF posters most weeks but tonight he well and truly deserves it.

Jordan Russell - 45% efficiency and constant turnovers by hand and foot is simply not good enough, not to mention we played him on HFF and he is completely shot infront of goal.

We need to bring Hartlett in and let him play CHF for the rest of the year.

We are also desperate for some speed so Army needs to come back in as soon as he is 100%.

Walker and Bower (when 100%) will steady the backline as well.

Not sure who else comes out with Russell. Perhaps Browne and Anderson.

I've tried my best to stay off the Russell-slag wagon most of the year, but I don't know why. Besides the quarter against Port, I can't think of what he's actually done. As a forward, his goal kicking isn't good enough and turnovers and silly mistakes cost us bad.

Give him a few weeks in the twos.

Agree re: Hartlett. He'll offer a lot more than Edwards offered tonight.

You're spot on. It's either A) mental ******ation or B) tanking -

what else can explain the fact that Walker and O'Hailpin weren't playing.

Why pick Edwards before O'Hailpin????

Why pick Bentick/Carrazo before Walker???

FFS.

Leave Anderson in until Army is ready to go again.

Moving Edwards into the back line in the second half is conceding that the selection panel fwucked up by dropping Setanta. Anderson or Edwards don't give any coaches headaches. Setanta thrown up forward occasionally forces the opposition coach to man him up with a similar height player leaving their ruck stocks stretched\or forces Lyon to send Kosi with him. If Walker plays he 's going to be watched carefully by a quality running player, takes a bit of heat of Murphy or Simmo. Ando and Edwards won't even raise Lyon's eyebrows. With a 4 man bench Walker's lack of match fitness could have been covered.:(

i might be wrong but i dont think ratten likes setanta and walker that much.

setanta was dropped and edwards, anderson and browne played instead of him. i know they are different positions to setanta but still id rather him more than those 3 put together.

walker- its crap he didnt play.
hes a bloody good player and he isnt that low on match play! hes played 2 good vfl games in a row. what more does the MC want from him??
if walker and setanta dont play next week then we are tanking.

also... all these ppl are saying bring hartlett in- he cant get a bloody kick in the vfl so what makes you all think hes gna dominate in the afl???

is out for another 3 weeks.......

IN: WALKER PFEIFFER HAMPSON (maybe) Hartlett
OUT: Anderson Edwards kruezer(maybe)

Bentick may find himself in the VFL soon

agree with every word you say.
the coaching panel made a terrible decision not playing walker and setanta. walker didnt play but the likes of russell, grigg, anderson, edwards, browne all got games before him!! this is ridiculous.

something that ratten hates doing is changing a winning team and he only seems to make a change if a superstar ala judd is going to return. i think he has to show more courage and even if we win and a good player like walker is available- he has to play walker and not keep ppl like anderson and edwards in the team instead of him.

In- walker, hartlett, setanta, aisake
Out- edwards, anderson, carazzo, russell

hahah aisake

it is actually worth giving him a go.
im being serious.
we cannot make finals and why not try him- you never know-he could be a suprise package when he plays at afl level. id rather play him then edwards and anderson who we have given opportunities to and they have both let us down.

no i mean aisake give the irishman ago. He seriously cant be too bad and at 201cm he might even win a tap or two because we dont win too many these days

Ratten sounded very excited about the prospect of a Walker return a few weeks ago. Judging from the interview, I reckon he's a huge fan of his.
