So we know Hazelwood won't be playing which leaves at least one spot up for grabs. I'm inclined to think aside from that it will be an unchanged side for no better reason than it's also a winning side. Which leaves Hazelwood's replacement the subject of no doubt ferocious debate. Langer has mentioned Siddle and with Neser and Patterson already in the squad that you'd think that that will be the thirteen. Leading wicket takers Copeland and Bird look to have had their cards marked, Boland and Tremain might reasonably argue a case, perhaps given CA's penchant for all things Agar, Wes has been in pretty good form but this looks to be a fairly straightforward meeting coming up for the selectors.

When fit and firing i think Jye Richardson is the next best bowler around but I don't know where he is at. Patinson I rate but since coming back he just hasn't really had the results you would expect him to get. Neser is already in the squad and would probably feel unlucky if not picked.

Boult for Ferguson, Raval stays as Blundell can’t come in to open under these conditions. It’s a shame Will Young is still recovering from shoulder surgery

Langer was suggesting five bowlers for the G, which would mean one of Head or Wade would make way.
unless Wade is actually prepared to use his bat in the next test there's not much point him being there.

Patto the only change for mine. could understand Neser getting in ahead of him though...it feels more like for like.

Pattinson all day. Juicy deck. The ewe turners will be packing themselves

Juicy deck? Lol. After last weeks debacle it’ll be placid as all buggery

Warner
Burns
Labuschagne
Smith
Wade
Head
Paine
Pattinson
Cummins
Starc
Lyon

Pretty straightforward imo. No need to be innovative for the sake of being innovative.

Neser 55 wickets at 18 this year. Pattinson 51 at 21. I'll take Neser because I'm a bias Qlder.
Playing test cricket will blow out Patto’s average a bit. It’s harder to be effective bowling first change in a test as opposed to opening the bowling in FC cricket. But you were one of the few to be on the Labuschange bandwagon early so maybe you are on to something here. But being a Victorian this time I will have to disagree and go for Patto

Can't be. ICC will be watching this with interest.

I believe, rightly or wrongly, that they either cannot get anything out of this deck, or they simply don’t know how to work with it

It was done wrong in the first place and now they have changed it. I think it’s twking them time to figure out what they can and can’t do with it

Recruiting the curator from a ground that had become the flattest pitch in Australia was a strange move if they wanted to produce a pitch with more life in it

They have had 24 months! Do tell what have they actually been doing over that period since that disaster?
