hope I don't get too heavily critisised for this but if kent were to get a couple of weeks would it be a blessing in disguise for us?? as much as I want him to be a footballer he just isn't and we can't continue to go with him.

my changes are:-
ins/ a.mackie, c.gardiner, c.enright
outs/ k.kingsley, d.spiggs, h.playfair

these changes are obviously based on the assumption that gaz and moons will be available.

So then we have no marking target?? and how could you get rid of H, He was pretty good on the weekend once he settled down. My changes are:
IN C. Gardiner or DJ
OUT- D. Spriggs

If Kents Suspended then in comes the Great McCarthy.

I think definetley Corey Enright will be back and if Kent is suspended we should either use H as a forward and Bring in Chambers to Help King in The Ruck meaning we could use Kingy forward at some stage. Spriggs has to be dropped.

Enright will not come back now, he has played 10 mins in the last 12 weeks. Not match fit for finals.
Rooke will not come back either, not match ready enough.

Playfair will keep his spot. Beaten early, but more to do with PA tatics than his poor play.
Kingsley, if cleared will keep his spot.Bit hard to play well when either the ball is not getting to you at all, or being bombed in high to 3 on 1 contests. I had no problem with his game yesterday.
Spriggs will be gone. Disposal shocking. Decision making poor. However thought he should be rested\matched up in a back pocket was a fool.

Out: Spriggs, Kingsley
In: Gardiner, D.Johnson or Callan

So if Kent gets rubbed out what do you think our forward set up will look like?

Do we move Graham to FF and play Mooney/Playfair/McCarthy at CHF or do we play Haynes at FF and keep Graham at CHF? There are plenty of permutations amongst that lot. The problems being Graham's form from last weekend, Mooney's average form in the forward line all year and the inexperience of Playfair and McCarthy.

The men in white coats are knocking on the door but would anyone consider Foster for FF? Mature body and kicked a bag or two in the VFL when given the chance to play at FF.

Need someone who can either create a mismatch and test Fletcher, or who will act as a decoy and drag him out of the play completely.

Haynes at FF may be OK, but he does good work as a linkman further up the ground as well.

Maybe the solution is to have Mooney (if not suspended) and King rotating through the ruck and full forward.

As forwards, Mooney and King are pretty uninspiring.

Worst case scenario we have to find a forward capable of competing and bringing the ball to the ground for Ablett, Chapman and S. Johnson. Mensch would be handy.

How is Chambers in going to allow us to play Mooney and Playfair as rotating forwards?, we could do it without him.
Provided no injuries or suspensions, i would make the one change:

Spriggs out - never should have played in the first place.

Enright in.

Presuming Kingsley is suspended,

IN: Enright, Mackie
OUT: Spriggs, Kingsley

Enright needs to play, a much better player than Spriggs, and more experienced than Callan, Byrnes or whoever may come in to replace him. I'd try Graham at FF and Playfair at CHF, he surpised me on Sunday and does seem to have potential. Mackie can come into the side to provide another target up forward, and hopefully kick a couple goals.

I can't believe you blokes can't see the glaring weakness in our team, especially after the results on the weekend.

I sincerely hope the selection panel had both eyes open.

Whih is.......small backman??

Yes. We've had a chronic shortage of genuine small defenders all year, but during those times we had at least one of that type in the team, be it Sheepdog, Fumbles or Timmy Callan.

Right now we've got none, and it shows. Simply must introduce one (or even two) of these players this week.

phat has to be talking about our forward line, as it is painfully obvious that that's where our major weakness is. that is why I thought we must play all of dessy, charlie and mack for it just means that we have that extra option. I realise many of you may think this is a huge risk but the reality is that we simply need to find a way to kick goals, and even considering the inexperience of both charlie and mack - at least they've shown they can kick goals. its a gimme that kent will miss this week so don't presume he will play because he won't.

I am as big of fan as any of big h, but I just think we need to drop him for a forward - a forward that may kick goals for us. h does not fall into this category so those of you suggesting we try him up forward this week have got to be kidding themselves. why try him there now when we haven't tried him there all year??

if enright is fit he must play, and I won't even bother justifying why spriggsy should take off to the states tomorrow and pursue a male-modelling contract or something. he simply just can't play. the thing that ********s me about playing him yesterday is that it was out there for everyone to see, and not one club will want him now. I just think that if we didn't play him, we just may have got someone for him.

Sanderson is the only one of those three who could even be loosely considered a genuine defender, and he is on his last legs and incapable of keeping up with the true crumbing forwards in the league.

Hunt and Wojcinski are attacking players, neither is accountable.
