Marshall for Dixon, Esava or Lord don't really care. Jed GTFO, DBJ out of defence, forgot how much he sucks back there with his pissant 1 on 1 efforts and hackbombs out of d50, it's literally why we moved him out from there. He runs around like a headless chook up front but has a knack for popping up for a goal and actually applies decent 'pressure'. Sinn, I dunno. Has potential to give a real deer in headlights performance, but we are losing with or without so may as well see if he has any cojones in pressure cooker environments, he wasn't bad against them last time. ****, would've been nice if Lorenz had more than a quarter experience.
There can always be a turnaround, no doubt, but this is finals.
Our form since the Lions game has been very good and you could see the thrashing by Geelong as a once off but the boys capitulated 10 minutes out from half time.
Our best players are down and/or injured. Butters is banded up. Rozee is out of form. Houston is not playing. The Hornet is our only hope.
There are just a lot of signs pointing to a loss.

I think the one we shouldn't have played was Butters but Allir and JHF seemed fine to me.
JHF was one of our best and i didn't think Allir was too bad.
Seems a bit strange that a player would be the one asking to not be selected for a final. Goes against the grain on how a player would normally be, normally it would be the opposite and they are desperate to play and try to convince everyone they're fine.
I'm happy to see Dixon wheelchaired off.

Brad Hardie is a nuffie. Aliir was fine and Horne-Francis was running the game out harder than any Port player.
The problem was across the team with the same soft-arsed approach that we produced in the Bulldogs prelim.
It's been said again and again that after the massive pressure ratings we produced for the crows and Freo in consecutive games, why couldn't we do it last week when it mattered? There's the $64,000 question.
If it disappeared as magically as it did last week, maybe it will reappear this week.

Don't be silly, Ken would never make a statement as definitive as "we will win the game". That would be setting a standard that he could then be held to. It'd be "we'll give ourselves our best chance" or some other wishy washy bullshit.

The news item suggested he would play in the prelim if we win this week. But he was moving well and seemed happy so who knows?
That's the thing. It's true but the ability to play your best footy is a whole other question.

I'm conditioned to always wanting Port to win, but if we lose it is the end of ken so I will cope.
On the other hand if we win and get to a Prelim, our notoriously vapid board will have to make a decision and that is usually peak hilarity. Until they make the wrong one.
