Can’t drop Lord yet, 22 game player key forward - just needs more and consistent games - is gonna play a few bad ones.

Finlayson as a third tall and second ruck is not a terrible idea. It’s the only position Finlayson can play, and having a bit more experience in the side, isn’t necessarily a bad thing, especially if Boak or DBJ gets dropped.

Feels like our last quarter fade-outs are a bit to do with fitness, and just having so many young fellas out there. Finlayson might help here. Taking a third defender helps with his non contact issues…

Finlayson will always be too good for SANFL too. Doesn’t mean he is great at AFL, but we know he can play when in form.

Just on the last quarter fade outs, I haven't looked at the fixture in depth, but I do think the fact Port played a conditioned Collingwood in Round one, and Hawthorn and Sydney sides coming off extended breaks, has to make some sort of difference, even if just a mental boost for the opposition. The league really is amateur allowing any team to face an opponent that has had two or more days rest, and Round Zero is quite simply a fixture integrity disaster. It all makes a difference.

I half agree with you, but I just weary of running Sweet into the ground.

That also worries me with Wines as his limited backup, so given we're only playing 2 tall forwards at the moment and Luko is out for a while, I'd like to see some games into Visentini.

Give him some more experience before he has to be the lead ruck, which will probably happen at some point this year.
