Mead's form in the two's is as good as anyone else.

He was crap on the weekend. Should not be in consideration. I don’t care how many disposals he got.

I wouldn't delist Burton. He's perfect depth..

He’s exactly the type of player we should be delisting.

He's the perfect depth player - I don't understand this need to push him out of the squad completely. There is simply not enough talentfor all players on the list to be AFL ready and at AFL level. You need good depth, and that's exactly what he is.

The issue we have is he's played most games this season - and that's a result of the poor depth and quality in the list, not on Mead himself.

In an ideal world, Mead would be playing ~5 games a season, covering for others when there's a few injuries or suspensions. He is there to put pressure on the guys in the team. He is absolutely good enough to do that role.

He should be 23-27th on the list.

I get what you’re saying but I don’t see him as depth, for me he’s a liability.
He’s not good enough and never will be good enough at AFL level.
When he does get selected he makes too many basic skill errors that cost us.
Depth is someone who can fill a spot and at least be competitive, Mead does neither.
Problem is we have too many like him and need to turn the list over.
He’s safe for next year but after that I’d be moving him on.

I think me might have actually traded down for once. Didn't we have the last pick of the first night or the first pick of the second night but traded out? Then Brisbane picked up Devon Robertson. Seem to recall something like that

First pick of the second night. Brisbane had the next pick and they traded for our pick, they gave up a future second round pick and we gave them a future fourth.

Williams was very highly rated as a match turning forward coming into his draft year, injury saw him drop but was still rated a possible top 10 player.
