It might take us 5 seasons to realise Liddy is not AFL standard.
Hopefully Carr has a better eye for talent than Hinkley.
We're obviously going to get thrashed but the 3 ins are good - Mead or McEntee should sub. The only thing we can achieve is giving the kids a taste of the level they have to get to

Expect Whitlock to be sub because Ken just loves giving debutants sub roles to give them a "taste" and drop them next game.
Either that or he will probably have 6 or 7 touches and maybe a goal considering how checked out Port are at this stage of the season.

Not picking Williams for a club that can't kick goals when he's kicked 13 in 2 games with a 15 minute cameo at AFL level in between is disgusting.

Probably seems like I'm overreacting, but McEntee fluking those two goals is in the top 10 of the worst things to happen this year.
We could have rewarded Williams for his hot form and possibly found ourself a small/med forward with genuine talent. Got great hands, great vision, can kick them from anywhere. Sure, a bit slow but as I've said elsewhere, no better pressure than scoreboard pressure. Would rather 2-3 goals than 15 'pressure acts', whatever they are.
We could have rewarded Charleson for his improved performances over the past few months. Genuine crumbing small forward which we have been crying out for as a replacement for Big Willie. Who knows what Lachie could have done in the seniors if given a go.
But now those two will more than likely be delisted at seasons end.
McEntee somehow got a game after being a steaming hot turd in the SANFL, miraculously fluked a couple of goals, will ride on the coattails of that performance for the rest of the season while reverting back to 7 possession games and more than likely no score.

As much as the Dylan Williams stuff pisses me off - we have no natural goal kickers other than Georgiades and arguably DBJ - yet still don’t pick him, the one that gets me more is not picking Lai.

I don't really see where he fits into tomorrow's lineup given half back is pretty much the only position unaffected by injury. Maybe you could pick him on a wing ahead of Lorenz but Lorenz has been in the system longer and also deserves a look. But yes, it would be good if they gave him a debut before the season is out.

Once Ken decides you're 'too slow', your output doesn't matter anymore, your career is just done. You can be too short, you can be too small, you can be too unskilled, you can be too soft, you can be fundamentally unable to even get a kick, you can be Jackson Mead who is all five of those things at the same time, all of that is fine, but once you're 'too slow', you're done. Dylan Williams could've put up numbers like the second coming of Scott Hodges in the SANFL this year and we still would've preferred McEntee.

Ken loves Mead and McEntee too much for them to be sub.
The sub is gonna be either Berry, Liddy, Lorenz or Whitlock.

Rioli and MG the only 2 you can rely on to kick goals but you can take Rioli off that list because he is just about done.
Scandalous it’s got to this point with him.
Interesting to see what happens to Williams next year with Ken gone.
Does Carr go along with Ken and the list management that Williams is gone or does he get kept on?

The thing is, we have holes all over the ground but none more so than goal kicking forwards, especially small-mid sized. Berry and Richards haven’t kicked goals this year. SPP is a write off for the first half of 2026. McEntee, Charleson, Anastasopoulos aren’t up to it. If Williams kicks 2 more bags of goals to finish off the SANFL season, surely you give him a 1 year rookie deal to try as a forward next year.
If he’s fit he’s still worth keeping, at least he can kick straight but it might be too late.
Our fitness department/ coaching is comical.
We have Sunday afternoon parkland footy standards in a AFL comp.
The question is what does Dylan Williams have to do in the 2's in order to get a game.
Like many things falling in the house of cards that is Hinkley at the moment, it highlights his absolute poor coaching whether it is the laissez-faire lolly grin or the loser speak press conferences or after the game thrashing and having a laugh, we are seeing the quintessence of Hinkley.
There are only a few games to go and because he is given carte blanche to do whatever he wants, it will be interesting to me to see what he does to show who he truly is.
A night at Geelong might be super interesting. He might just walk over to the other box at half time and never leave.
