IN Rioli and sweet
out McEntee and Mead
Sweet just had his worst game of the year and it was at SANFL level, he's not playing.

FB ESAVA BZT JONES
HB FARRELL ALIIR ROZEE
C BURGOYNE JHF MORASE
HF RICHARDS GEORGIADES BURTON
FF RIOLI LORD JEZZA
FOLL VISINTINI BUTTERS BERGMAN

INT WINES DREW EVANS SPP

SUB MEAD/SINN/DBJ

My 2 cents. Throw Burton up as half forward. He can clearly lead and mark plus kick. Take pressure off Georgiades. Keep Jezza in and Lord. Still have Rioli, SPP and even Richards as crumb smaller forwards with Richards working up ground. Give DBJ a rest in 2nds or sub. Bring Evans in. Leave Morase on wing get games into him, clearly has talent and potential just needs games to build confidence and structure but definitely has it in him. Bring Zerk in, with Sav and Jones still and hopefully this should help free up Aliir to actually do what he does best and float plus intercept. Keep Bergs in middle and hopefully JHF plays more midfield not deep forward.

Boak should’ve played ahead of McEntee last night. Jed cops a lot of shit, a lot of it is over the top because it’s not his fault the coaches love him so much. But what is it that they like? It’s so confusing, he literally offers nothing.

Lord is equally as useless, people thought Dixon was a bollard, this guy is a legit bollard. Did nothing all game, gets a chance to kick a goal in the last quarter 35 metres out and sprays it far left and doesn’t even make the distance. Fckn hell. One of the most pathetic performances I’ve ever seen and the funny thing was that instead of licking his wounds he actually beat me to a nearby establishment post game. Delist.

Got to play Moraes with the bye coming up in a few weeks. Kids good, gets the ball, runs himself ragged.

McEntee. Well he wasn't terrorising Thillthorpe at all so not sure why he was picked over a few others, sometimes you've just got to throw a kid in at the deep end, would have much preferred Berry, or one of the other untried and a strategy of low unpredictable balls into 50.

Bergman on Dangerfield.

Maybe Jones on Cameron for pace when he pushes up the ground.

Lose here its season over with such a low percentage, will be essentially 3 games out the 8 with Essendon, Carlton and the Saints actually looking pretty consistent will be hard to get above any of them.

tough decsion, play bergman backline on a danger/jezza or play him full time mid again.

I know people are saying Boak was terrible but he's an upgrade on Mead, and it's not like getting any more games into Mead is going to improve him - he's pretty much hit his ceiling.

Whitlock for Lord I'd be ok with, but bit hard to make the case after not kicking a goal in the ressies. Maybe stick with Lord and wait for Whitlock to string a couple more decent games together in the SANFL first.

I'd be curious to know how or why Sweet couldn't dominate in his return to SANFL?

Hope he was genuinely beaten and it wasn't his attitude.
He wasn't having a sook, is just in really poor form.

I know Boak got a lot of the ball in the SANFL but gee whiz his disposal..... It was getting to the point I thought Hartlett would consider putting a hard tag on him to limit the damage.
I was sitting not far from the port coaches box for the sanfl game and made a point of looking over regularly to try and assess the vibe and setup in there.

Honestly, you could have been forgiven for thinking it was a bunch of mannequins in there.

There wasn’t even any movement, let alone conversing or robust conversations. They were onlookers, not influencers.

Thoroughly uninspiring.

Well I never once saw Hartlett demand anything from his team mates, even when a leader. So that’s no shock

The ballsy move is backing in our mids, and sending him head to head with Smith/Holmes, playing him down back is probably the safer move. At this stage of our season I'd rather see us throw caution to the wind and play him in the middle again. It probably drives up his price playing in the middle too.
