Boak should not be playing, he was terrible in the SANFL.
Boak or McEntee, I agree Boak was poor with ball in hand and fumbly, but he's a significantly better player than McEntee. Moraes must be dropped, he needs a bunch of SANFL games he's had an AFL taste but is currently regressing and needs to go back and build some confidence, and Mead I'm just done with though I know he wont be dropped.

Reckon we will rest Dangerfield and perhaps Smith too, we will face the Bulldogs off a five day break after playing you guys.
Bailey Smith and Dangerfield? Geez. Huge outs. Surely not both? Coming off a loss that'd be risky, could trigger a 3 game losing streak. Should be a good game this weekend, god knows which port rocks up, but that'd be a huge boost for us.

Boak got the rust out in the SANFL, he will be in this week
Anyone expecting otherwise is setting themselves up for disappointment

In
Boak, Rioli (🤞 I realise the irony after my Boak comments above), BZT

IN: BZT, Boak, Rioli
OUT: Mead, Moraes, McEntee

BZT needs to come in for structure if we are keeping Bergs in the middle. He has played 3 games in the 2's now, he surely has the fitness in his legs to come in.

He’s just got that laconic look about him BZT.

When he looks bad, he looks REALLY bad because it looks like he’s going half rat power. That’s just him unfortunately.

Boak is 100% best 23 right now. We had 4 guys out on the field that did nothing. McEntee, Mead, Moraes, Lord all could've been replaced with cardboard cutouts of themselves and we wouldn't have lost much. Boak may have the odd turnover but he continually tries and stay involved in games. I would rather someone that wins plenty of the ball but does the odd turnover than someone that doesn't win the ball at all.

Willsy said he'd be able to kick a goal on Aliir. I think we should ignore him.
Problem is the match committee will just look at Boak's disposal count & bring him in completely ignoring the fact he was absolute trash. I just don't get why people wanna go back to the same old failures, the season is shot & Boak isn't a part of the future so fukcin' move on.

"The odd turnover" lol he's a hack kicking disgrace
His kicking efficiency this year is 60.5%, which puts him in the average range but for a quick comparison JHF is 56.4%, Butters 60.8%. Boak's kicking efficiency this year is actually above his career average, so this narrative that he has turned into the turnover king of the AFL is just plain wrong.

Boak is also handballing more these days so his overall disposal efficiency is 76.6%, which puts him in the better than average range for all disposals.

He is not that bad, and better than at least 5 players from our team on the weekend. there is daylight separating him and McEntee.

Moraes and Sinn do not work at all as sub. Both of them need continuation, especially Sinn. The more he plays the better he gets. We are desperately short of one tall back so either BZT has to come in or Bergman goes back again, especially against Geelong who have such a tall forward line
Do we need the extra tall against Geelong? Against Crows we did, they have 3 big talls.
Really only Cameron and Neale as their two talls (and i'd be putting Bergman on Cameron)

Spot on - confirmation bias shining through. His disposal has never been elite, and some of his mistakes have looked worse than in the past, but he's still bringing most of the positives that he's always brought.

The one thing I have noticed this season in particular (after the first few games) is that he is really struggling to gather the loose ball - super fumbly. This could be related to his back issue preventing him from bending down as much - time will tell.

For people that have selected 2 rucks in their side, is it because you have Alzheimer's?

We have 3 competitive AFL rucks on our list, but all of them are lumbering giants that are relatively useless around the ground. Playing 2 of those types doesn't work, and we've seen it time and time again. How do you just overlook that? We are significantly better off playing Finlayson as a 2nd ruck Vs playing 2 of our full time rucks, and that says a lot given Finlayson's issues.
