Problem is JOM not as sub.I honestly dont know how anyone could be upset with JOM as sub. Who else would you pick?

Selection integrity probably ruled that Banfield and Worner have done enough to keep their places ahead of Walker who, let’s face it, has his fair share of critics on his disposal.Thought we nailed the selections last week, back to questionable selections this week.
Great to see Pearce back but with his lower leg issues and the dodgy SCG turf surely he could’ve waited a week. Swans aren’t stacked for dangerous talls. Much more worried about Papley/Heeney/Hayward so no Walker is disappointing but I haven’t watched WAFL the past few weeks so I’m guessing he’s not 100% yet.
JOM in is uninspiring, I don’t think you can play Johnson, Ras and JOM in the same team, too many one-paced midfielders. Hopefully he assumes Fyfe’s sub role and one of the other two take Heeney.
Still a strong enough team to get the win and continue our SCG winning streak.
Duds sadly, just not fit enough. Will be a different player next year (without ever having a Sonny six pack).I honestly dont know how anyone could be upset with JOM as sub. Who else would you pick?

I agree JOM is probably second to Murphy Reid in skills kicking to a forward inside the 50.Agreed and I’m a huge JOM critic. If he’s playing I would like the ball in his hand at the end of a 3 chain handball that has him clear and delivering a lace out pass to a leading player.
Not inside with dinky handball back to someone under pressure.
Would be Erasmus.Writing is on the wall for JOM. Hayden Young back soon.
To be honest, not really, Duds has not been goodWill you have a different take when Duds is announced as sub?
NB I’m not down on JOM necessarily. Just wondering, as the 23 includes 8 FWDs. Other option is Voss but seems less likely?
So, who would you pick from Peel knowing Walker is not quite ready and Banfield is still playing who I believe might be the only player you like less than JOM hahaKidding me
He hasn't played for 7 weeks and strolls back in
I remember JOM gathering having the ball 30 times and being slow to make decisions, holding up play in transition, and handballing to feet or players under pressure.
Part of the reason we lost is because he was by far our most prolific mid that day. And then people used that game to claim he was in good form cos he had 30 touches on the stat sheet.
He's just not any good.I feel like we've under utilised Narkle as ready to go depth.
The problem with this sort of analysis is it assumed causation, when it is just correlation.Since he’s joined:
19-1-24 (43% win rate) when JOM is in the starting 22.
10-3 (77% win rate) without him.
2-1 (67% win rate) when he’s the sub.
Not great reading for JOM enthusiasts.
He could still offer more than a few other guys who have gotten games over him. Dudley for one but no one wants to say it.He's just not any good.
Was only playing last year because Port only had around 23-24 AFL standard players. 3-4 injuries and he's in so he ended up playing quite a few games.
Being above state league standard but not good enough for AFL has been a consistent theme for Narkle since his Geelong days. Don't be fooled by WAFL form.
Our depth is better than that.
People are laughing at this comment but just to be clear, I like Joel and am glad he still gets to playJoel Hamling in for them
He offers more than Dudley if you base it off just last week. Who else? And don’t name defenders. He could still offer more than a few other guys who have gotten games over him. Dudley for one but no one wants to say it.

It could mean JOM is detrimental to us winning, but it could also mean a bunch of other stuff happened that has no relation to JOM.
I don't particularly rate JOM personally, but I doubt him in or out compared to someone like Erasmus really moves the dial a lot.
I really just don’t are about it enough to argue and also didn’t say anything about him being in the team this week. But you can’t say that Banfield offered anymore up forward this year than Narkle could haveHe offers more than Dudley if you base it off just last week. Who else? And don’t name defenders.
I certainly wouldn’t say Narkle is a similar player to Dudley either. Dudley is a genuine small forward. Narkle is a failed midfielder who’s slotted into Port Adelaide’s team as a forward and/or sub last year because their depth in those areas were rubbish.
The rest of the team this week and the emergencies are better AFL players than not to mention the injured or recently injured players like Walker, Sturt, Switkowski, Young and Simpson. Draper as well if he returns to some sort of form. Short of a miracle resurgence from Fyfe or crazy long injury list those are the guys that should play for us for the rest of the season. We should be playing our best 30 players from now on and Narkle isn’t one of them.
Crowden could’ve been great if we didn’t have a surplus of midsunbelievable sooking re JOM. WhErE's BrOdIe, bring Crowden in!

Don’t think anyone is particularly “sooking”. Personally I just don’t want to see him line up at a centre bounce with Brae and Serong, the 3 of them as a combination just doesn’t work.unbelievable sooking re JOM. WhErE's BrOdIe, bring Crowden in!
Cmon mate, Narkle’s best ever games at afl level might be about the level of an average game from Banfield the last 2-3 years. It’s not even close.I really just don’t are about it enough to argue and also didn’t say anything about him being in the team this week. But you can’t say that Banfield offered anymore up forward this year than Narkle could have
