Selection integrity probably ruled that Banfield and Worner have done enough to keep their places ahead of Walker who, let’s face it, has his fair share of critics on his disposal.
Hayden and Simpson back soonish but only Hayden will come into the team currently.

I agree JOM is probably second to Murphy Reid in skills kicking to a forward inside the 50.

So, who would you pick from Peel knowing Walker is not quite ready and Banfield is still playing who I believe might be the only player you like less than JOM haha

No sorry you haven't remembered correctly which is OK it happens. People called him best on ground because he went head to head with Heeney, shut him down, and got 30 touches of his own.
People blaming Jaeger for us losing that game is hilarious, its not that black and white. As if one player makes all that much difference, guess if we played Erasmus instead of Jaeger we would have beaten Geelong and Sydney?
He's just not any good.
Was only playing last year because Port only had around 23-24 AFL standard players. 3-4 injuries and he's in so he ended up playing quite a few games.
Being above state league standard but not good enough for AFL has been a consistent theme for Narkle since his Geelong days. Don't be fooled by WAFL form.
Our depth is better than that.

JOM and Pearce are great additions in you look at in terms of:
Pearce > Omac
JOM > fyfe as non playing sub
that’s a huge improvement - whether JOM or Dudley or Voss play sub doesn’t really matter IMV. I feel it will be JOM.

The problem with this sort of analysis is it assumed causation, when it is just correlation.
It could mean JOM is detrimental to us winning, but it could also mean a bunch of other stuff happened that has no relation to JOM.
I don't particularly rate JOM personally, but I doubt him in or out compared to someone like Erasmus really moves the dial a lot.
He could still offer more than a few other guys who have gotten games over him. Dudley for one but no one wants to say it.

I certainly wouldn’t say Narkle is a similar player to Dudley either. Dudley is a genuine small forward. Narkle is a failed midfielder who’s slotted into Port Adelaide’s team as a forward and/or sub last year because their depth in those areas were rubbish.
The rest of the team this week and the emergencies are better AFL players than not to mention the injured or recently injured players like Walker, Sturt, Switkowski, Young and Simpson. Draper as well if he returns to some sort of form. Short of a miracle resurgence from Fyfe or crazy long injury list those are the guys that should play for us for the rest of the season. We should be playing our best 30 players from now on and Narkle isn’t one of them.

Somebody asked for the win/loss with and without JOM, you can interpret it whatever way you want.
In my opinion even without the stats I feel we are a better team without JOM. He’s a fine, inoffensive player but I feel he’s emblematic of a lot of the problems we suffered until recently - slow, safe, risk-averse, handball happy. Dare I say a bit vanilla. Not that I’m pinning all of our problems on him but I feel we’ve moved past him and that brand.
But he’s capable of doing a role and he’s probably the best option available right now so I get it.

I really just don’t are about it enough to argue and also didn’t say anything about him being in the team this week. But you can’t say that Banfield offered anymore up forward this year than Narkle could have

Don’t think anyone is particularly “sooking”. Personally I just don’t want to see him line up at a centre bounce with Brae and Serong, the 3 of them as a combination just doesn’t work.
If he’s not sub, I hope he’s used more as the skinny side winger and the inside mid minutes go to NOD and Jackson (assume Ras and Johnson are already getting some as well)
