Yeah look I've been hard on Wilson over the last couple of seasons but he has come in and performed well when needed. I still think he is great depth beyond this season if he doesn't get an offer up the road.
Lol. Wilson has publicly stated how much he hates that mob. No chance.

Wilson very unlucky but is more of a Clark or Young replacement and he's not taking either of their spots. Both hitting their straps

Yep, it's great he's come in and performed so well but he's a break glass, emergency type player now. Our manageable injury list has been a quite handy size for finals prep, giving depth a taste to prove they can still play but not enough that it has cost us games.

So? He barely signed a one year extension last year. Has been in good form at WAFL & AFL all season. I can totally see Eagles offering him upto a 3 year offer which he'll gladly take if we choose to do the same this off-season.

All a bit foreign this depth thing! Both undeserved outs based on form, what a nice problem to have 😉 and especially given the majority of the seasons behind us, have we ever been in this hood a shape ever?

Banners staying in will upset a few but you’d chalk him down for a couple which is probably what was said around the selection table, good for him 👍🏻

As someone who has been big on Banfield not being up to the level, I cant deny he has an uncanny knack of kicking goals and he's deserved to keep his spot. I think his field disposal /decision making and relatively poor pressure (lowest on average of all non KPF forwards) are still an issue but the guy plays his role so I cant fault him for that

Very happy to have Chapman back. I still back him to reach Darcy/Brayshaw levels, and I know that is a big call.

Acres replaces a solid Hughes and give us another 20-30% boost in the position. On form before injury he was up there with the best wingers in the league.

Colyer adds pace but has had a bad month. I would like to know who they see as on the fringe of going out/coming in.

With the Sydney talls of Reid Amartey & Franklin, Chapman for Wilson just makes sense.
Wilson’s always been a poor defender.
You’d think Ryan takes heeney and walker takes Papley. Wilson can’t go with either.

I reckon Willo could replace Colyer it he needed to.

The Sheriff has returned! Love to see it, was proving the doubters wrong earlier this year, hopefully he can recapture it after injury.

This was clearly a positional choice more than anything else. For the roles that are being talked about they were going to drop a non KP backman for Chapman and Hughes (as the second winger) for Acres as standout first choice players for those roles. As the season goes on people keep inventing roles for people, but the reality is that Logue has gone from key back to pressure forward, Hughes did a quick trial at WAFL level and moved to wing, and pretty much everyone else has played a particular role and stayed in or being forced out of the team playing that role.

Who wouldve guessed at the start of the season we would be fist pumping that Acres is straight back in.

I for one am excited to see how him and Fyfe go together.

Yeah for all of Wilson's drive off half back he's the weakest defensively. I'm glad he played the last two games and I think he's important depth but his omission makes sense.

Jordan Clark was worth more than we paid for him by the way, by a long way.

Wilson put the defensive pressure effort away quite a bit this 4th quarter on the replay. Just skirked attempting a smother, no effort to block just then, jogging along.
Im pretty sure Willo was hurting pretty bad towards the end there. Likely reason for any skirting of duties. He had gone in real hard prior to that. They should sign him up for another year, how likely is it next year we will be in a position this far into it that we only have two best 22 injured? He will likely be needed.
