I agree Barrass is gonna be a gun , Ropo as well
You think Barrass and RoPo are going to be guns? I'm curious to know your definition of 'gun'.

My personal definition of a gun is someone that is exeptional at something may even be AA one day , Gov is a gun in his marking , reading the play and his kicking has been a revelation . Judd is a top gun cos of his pace reading the play . I have seen very little of barrass and ropo . The little I have seen at east perth game is Barrass marking is exeptional , Ropo seemed like a racehorse goanna , good mark in game i saw , think it was the indigenous .

Che? I'm confused.

Out: Shuey
In: Colledge/Hutchings

Nelson McGovern Sheppard
Hurn Schofield Wellingham
Rosa Priddis Gaff
LeCras McInnes Duggan
Cripps Kennedy Hill

R: Naitanui Yeo Sheed

I: Butler Masten Lycett
S: Colledge/Hutchings
Thanks for writing out the whole team.

I wouldn't have been able to conceive what it would mean for Colledge or Hutchings to replace Shuey without seeing the entire 22.

How will the 22 look if Shuey is fit to play?

You can't seriously want to bring McSpuddity in and drop Butler after his best game in years?
I have a reason. Butler excelled against a shit side. GWS are fast, Butler is not, so Bennell comes in for him. Masten has been terrible and despite his many shortcomings, McGinnity can add some "hard at it" to maybe disrupt the inevitable GWS carve-up of our glacial paced midfield. I am not sure what else we can do to stop it. Masten certainly isn't the answer.

Alternatively, we could just judge players on performances arising from playing the worst side in the comp and do nothing :thumbsu:

I'm all for phasing Butler out unless his style of play has changed permanently to what it was yesterday but you can't drop him after yesterdays performance, what kind of message would that send to the rest of the team? As for McGinnity he might be the least talented player to take to an AFL field this year. I don't care if he's hard at it, he has no skill whatsoever, you might as well get some drunken idiot out there to run around and kamikaze into packs.

This is why winning against poor sides is bad. We can't drop those who excel even though they are of little utility against better sides.

What is your suggestion for stopping the carve-up to which I referred? Make it realistic too, at least my suggestion was.

Mitch Robinson's been getting games for years with that strategy.
