Great, and now we have to put up with McSpuddity instead.

If Masten is getting contested ball he isnt working defensively near the contest.. Selwood had more tackles in one game than Masten has had for the season. And for all the knocks on Gaff, he is in our top 5 for tackles so far..
And Masten is in the top 10.

He's had more tackles than Rosa, Butler, Yeo, Wellingham, Sheppard etc etc. Which proves absolutely nothing.

Selective usage of stats from a small sample is pretty disingenuous.

Wouldn't want to be Brock Higgins on Satuday. Liable to get massacred.

If Lycett has problems at WAFL level then he's clearly taken his game down a gear as last year he was beyond the WAFL. But i doubt he's been dropped on form alone.

Sinclair has been playing in the WAFL as a backmen and he's been acceptable in that role. With the inclusion of McInnes we're more top heavy up front than we've been since Woosha retired. Sinclair can ruck and play backwards and forwards then that's something Lycett hasn't been asked to do and probably won't be.

I think this is all temporary anyway. The KP injuries are forcing our hand in trying these sorts of things. Id have just played McInnes back and kept Lycett in the team.

Pace? He was outrun multiple times by old man Rob Murphy!

His selection is ridiculous. He was dropped for very poor form, didn't play a game last week, and is straight back in. He is useless as a defender, a midfielder and a forward, and his defensive / tagging work this year has not been good.
I with TFS on this one - I'm a bit meh about it until I see the role he plays. If he's our fourth choice tagger so be it. If he plays as a defensive forward I'll probably smash my computer.

The selection of McGinnity really represents the fact that we are going nowhere as a team. There is no mid-long term benefit (there probably isn't even a short term benefit) to selecting him continually. Surely we are better placed giving games to youngsters to see if they perform prior to delisting them, or as a development process?

Disappointing given the amount of talent he has. Looked to be coasting in the first 4 rounds this season.

Needs to dominate in the WAFL this weekend.

I'm not that surprised although I did think Lycett would get another week. Hopefully he smashes it for EP and kindles some fire in the belly.

Rosa injured...could be a place for Colledge on the wing?

Nelson rested is no real surprise. He can take a break with his head held high.

Sooner or later Simpson needs to bite the bullet and simply put a big red line through the spuds name.

Wish Cavka, McInnes and Newman were available.

So Shuey's been named but Rosa's out injured... Interesting

Not sure what to make of McGinnity IN if Hutchings is available. I assume he'll get a defensive job of some description whether it's mid, fwd or back that Hutchings possibly isn't fit enough to do yet. Good to see Sinclair get an opportunity and sticking true with McInnes. IMO Callum is more of a flexible option than Lycett and one of him or Fras can go forward and the other back.

With Butler in it gives Bennell the chance to show some of that attacking mindset. Throw him on a wing for a bit hopefully although GWS have some quality small/ medium sized forwards which is where Bennell has possibly been selected.

Nelson is just being managed. Good game to manage him in. Was never going to play every game and I see him being rested a handful of times during the year, barring injury.

God forbid a player is 'defensive' and 'negates' and 'tackles' instead of running around with a #salad and #tats
McGinnity would be the first bloke i picked because he's harder at the ball and the man than the rest of he mid field put together

Ginna doesn't have the best disposal skills but his ability to stick to his man and win the tough footy is something a few of our mids could definitely take on board. Play him is a tagger and I'm happy. Great to see Sinclair and Bennell in too, bring on Saturday night

You need some1 to apply pressure in the forward line/do the 1%ers

Gotta love facebook comments. #salad #tats

Still no Ellis ! That 3 week Hammy is now 8 weeks ! Are we sure his leg hasn't fallen off completely
To be fair, he looked like he'd been shot when he 1st did it. They can always be tricky, even if your surname isn't ellis.

I'd prefer us to be cautious with him anyway. No point rushing him back just to redo it.
