Seriously though, So injuries from last week were (removing 1 week to update):

Jake Batchelor (knee) Test
Ben Griffiths (leg) Test
Gibson Turner (finger) 1 week
Matt Arnot (hamstring) 2 weeksDylan Grimes (hamstring) Indefinite
Nathan Foley (heel) Season
Ty Vickery (shoulder) Season

Add to this Verrier and Astbury, it means we only have Graham, Browne, Derickx, Webberley, Elton, Miller, O'Hanlon, White and Helbig available for selection (and as I've said several times, Helbig ain't ready from what I've read).

Unfortunately this means even with Griff and Batch as possible fresh ins, we have no mids available for inclusion other than White and Webs. Reason I mention this, is as much as we want Maric, Jackson, and all the others to cop it in the next, we cannot get rid of them all.

I also have major doubts on Morris backing up, the shoulder looked bad on TV (although they said its just a stinger).

Personally after a few days, I still think Reiwoldt, Post, Newman, King, Conca, and Houli should thank their lucky stars our depth sucks so much, as all probably deserve a spell on their performance from Saturday.

no argument we need him, but discipline and leadership is a big reason for our failings over the past three weeks. We cannot reward a guy in our leadership group with a game if the rumour is true, as it sends the wrong message to the kids.

Understand we need to keep it in-house, so officially keep him in the leadership group, but make him the tea lady, and officially rest him this week due to "inj - leg"

Yep, that's what I reckon. Doesn't take much to read between the lines that he won't be risked. Big season coming up for him next year. Kid has what it takes, but can he stay on the park? Gee I hope so.

Don't really think team structure matters at this point. Blood the youth, all niggles/injuries out to be dealt with, those in the "delist zone" play out the year and fight for their lives.

Don't waste game on blokes who are going to be de-listed (mainly White) and get more games into the good young players (Ellis, Conca).

Don't waste game on blokes who are going to be de-listed (mainly White) and get more games into the good young players (Ellis, Conca).

Just reckon Ellis and Conca both look stuffed and with White on the sidelines fresh as a daisy, a chance for him to either save his neck or increase profile/potential for trade.

IMO White should be safe with Connors, McDonald, Derrickx, McGuane, Graham, Webberley and hell even Kel Moore, all either gone or above him on the shit list, and out of contract. That would be up to 7 delistings off the main list this year which is a lot, and 8 if White was to go too. I am usually wrong about these things though, and of course not all will be cut.

All my outs were thinking of preservation, recouperation and minimising injuries.

I reckon the so called rumor is complete bulltish. If their was anything in it, some pesky journo would have sniffed it out and had it in the paper.

Always flagged the refusal was rumour from another board, but Saturday I was told he was injured. Any info you have is therefore appreciated

Rance on Brown, will probably shut him down.

Rich and Black are going to be a problem, Conca shouldn't be tagging players, experiment gone wrong, I think he's just suited to being a clearance player. Head to head, Tuck with Rich if Cotchin is able to get loose, i don't know about Brisbane's injury situation but if Raines is playing i don't think Cotchin will be able to get loose to might have to have Deledio go head to head with Rich as he can be an offensive tagger at times, although i'd like him to be free most of the time. IF Cotchin is not tagged ALL HELL WILL BREAK LOOSE!! BRISBANE WILL BE KOED!! There needs to be an exclusive award called the Champion Award just for Cotchin.
Griffo or Elton to come in for McGuane and play that forward role also Batchelor to come in for Moore, both omitted, the game is beyond them now. I hope Batchelor has gained some sort of confidence and can get back to form. If Morris is out... I dunno, saying something about our depth... maybe Verrier upgraded? If he's not injured.
If Jackson is injured or omitted, no news from the club yet but if he is out then we should bring in O'Hanlon or Helbig.

i disagree. we all saw the tiggy frees murphy got and the full time taggers would be laughing their heads off. cotch gets that treatment all the time without frees ffs. you could also look at it as a learning curve ie where to run, fitness required etc. i say go for it.
