Yeah, even if medically cleared he surely gets the chop for grossly underperforming. All the experts had him down for 20+ possessions and he ended up with 2.

I hope we find a spot for Rotham. Should be one of the first in line for elevation based on consistency of form.
He should never have been dropped and only complemented the team in wins against Collingwood and GWS.

Bit hard to get 20 diposals in a qaurter

Brooksby knows Adelaide oval too.
Playing in front of family and friends.

I reckon we play him
Agree with this as well, how Vardy even got back into the team after hardly getting a HO and any possessions at all until the last quarter at WAFL is concerning. Brooksby has beaten him on every comparison.

I personally don't think that the answer to our slow start to the year is in the Reserves team.
The issue doesn't seem to be with our premiership players but the tactics deployed against them.
We are seeing a return to the bad old days of the double flood but not only is it used against the Eagles but all the 2018 top teams who all used a similar game plan. Melbourne, last night just resumed that structure and style from last season against WCE -

Among the tactics that are obvious are:

1. A twelve man defense, with 5 across half back and 4 across center including 2 on each wing to stop the switch and the overlap causing the WCE to play back.
2. This flood also stops Darling and Kennedy to lead into space. Darling and Kennedy sometimes double teamed as well.
3. Arms of McGovern, Kennedy and Darling being held and chopped consistently.
4. Ball being delivered by opposition teams into their forward lines low and wide. (Often results is difficult shot on goals by opposition, hence numerous behinds kicked against us)
5. McGovern being blocked from running to the ball delivery.
6. The flood invariably chops off many WCE attacks and slingshots ball over into a vacant forwadline and run on to score goals. (hopefull enough to win the game or get close/ Ross Lyon style.)

Personally I don't believe that the Flood and Run Game can be sustained for four quarters.
Spot on! In a nutshell😟

On track for 8 is how I take this. While I hope he recovers and is well managed with this concussion he was another passenger that was given AFL games after hardly any possessions at WAFL.

Wait ... maybe that's what the WAFL players think now with the last couple of games ... they have to play poorly and give no effort to get an AFL game?

You cant find identical replacements.
Just experience to come in for the injuried.

Unless we go down the path and try an untried player like Allen for Vendables.

Watson would of been a good replacement for Jetta but he's injuried also. Masten will likely come in or unless we take the risk with Rotham
Vardy is just hopeless. We don't need two rucks. Hickey and Allen is fine.

If Vardy can't play forward as he as been very poor down there we might aswell give Waterman another go who's a true forward and can take a mark.

Venable half forward > Waterman

Jetta half back with pace > Rotham

Vardy forward ruck > O Allen or Brooksby.,

Given that the Crows also have an inexperienced ruck set up likely will be Hickey out with an ankle, Schofield comes back to take Tex and Oscar goes back to his utility ruck role. Oscar did well playing defense IMO and opened up the forward line with a bit more pace.

Out: Vardy, Jetta, Venables

In: Schofield, Rotham, AhChee

Allen plays fwd/ruck and AhChee gives us a bigger body around stoppages and can just bang it forward for us in a wet slog.

18 and showers in Adelaide Sat arvo.

Go a bit smaller?

Out: O.Allen, Jetta
In: M.Allen, Rotham

That is actually taller. Both in's are taller than the out's.

Take one of the rucks out, leave Oscar in.

Hickey or Vardy out/ Oscar to pinch hit, Rotham replaces Jetta.

Venables will be out, Cameron would be a good in if wet but still too raw. Likely Masten will take Venables spot if wet.

Oh lol didnt realise. They seem shorter without seeing stats.

Carry on.

Reddens proved to be a player that can work into a form after a lean Trott. Think a WAFL game might not hurt but I wouldn’t go easily dropping him. He might not get 30 every week but there are quarters where his hands at stoppages genuinely get us going and we need the likes of him in the middle.

Ideally they should play him that wing role if Hutchings isn’t tagging anyone. His outside work in the finals last year was elite and looked like an A grader in that one month patch.

O - Venables, Jetta
I - Ah Chee, Schofield/Rotham

May depend on whether the Crows select out the back Jenkins or not.

That part of my post … is the correct term Shitposting? … anyway whatever it's called, that was not remotely meant to be taken seriously. It was just some lame ribbing of one of our resident punters.
Regardless of who ends up in the 22 on the night compared to who I would have selected, I'll always hope they play well and end the game as healthy as they started it.
I hope Venners has pulled up ok, because that was some hit he copped in the act of putting himself in the line of fire for our team.

Out: Jetta(suspended), Vardy, Venables (injury)
In: Rotham, Ah chee, Schoefield

- Hutchings to tag Sloane or goes forward and does a defensive role on one of B.Smith or Liard. Both very dangerous players but Liards the bigger fish.
- Redden to play predominantly wing with some inside minutes. Similar role to last years finals series.
- O. Allen goes into the forwardline and help out Hickey
- Ah chee takes Venables spot but if Hutch doesn't tag, then he should spend more time running through the middle.

Sidenote: Yeo looks good when he's playing predominantly in the coal face, our midfield looks a ton better that way imo. Not clean all the time but he makes up for the lack of ruck dominance. Yeo, Shuey, Sheed and Ah Chee/Redden should be our inside players this week. Keep Gaff purely on the outside.

I think it will be 3 forced changes

OUT jetta, Venables, I think Hickey (ankle)

in Rotham, Masten (clearly what he had to work on was a homework assignment or he would have played Beagles), Waterman

Ive been hearing some whispers today

INS
Nic Naitanui, Schofield, Rotham.

OUTS
Vardy, Venables(inj), Jetta (if Suspended)

Oscar Allen to move back fwd and take Venables role.
Schofield FB.
Nic Nat for Vardy.
Rotham for Jetta.
