Geez Freo board very hostile, suggest you all stay away.
We are damaged people and the loss last weekend coughed up a potential top two or three spot. You guys tend to win these games and we tend to lose them so there is not much hope. We’re staring at the likelihood of another wasted season. Plus some of us have Emotional problems.

No reason why we couldn’t be shitting our pants together. There is a heap of crossover between the two clubs. Bob, Boydy, Garlick. Going the other way are Bandy, Koops and Crozier. All the best dudes. Whoever wins I hope goes all the way.

20+ years on this forum and I've never reported anyone ... but mentioning "all the best dudes" and not including Kingsley Hunter might be my tipping point.

Or Brad Wirra in that same trade. Most unforgivable is probably Andrew Wills

We need to win this game because it would be an absolute travesty if Fremantle made finals ahead of us given how good each team has been this season.

As much as there's been a clear top 9 and bottom 9, Fremantle have clearly been the worst of those top 9 teams and a bit below the other 8.

They have the 9th best percentage (108.6%) which is a fair bit off the 8th best percentage of 114.3%, where the teams ranked 4-8 are bunched up pretty close together before our, Adelaide, and Geelong's percentage are a clear top 3.

We haven't had many games against the top teams in a true home ground advantage, and Fremantle are clearly the worse team with a much better fixture than us to this point in the season.

We have only played 3 true home games against the other top teams - win vs GWS, loss vs Hawks, loss vs Crows. But against interstate teams we've demolished Port, West Coast and GWS, and finally get a fourth true home game against an interstate team to prove our chops here vs. Freo. (Freo as an aside gets 10 of these games per year but that clearly gets unmentioned when they love to talk about "vicbias").

I'm confident that we're the better team and I'm also confident because it's simply so rare that we enjoy true home ground advantages against interstate teams, which this game is one.

Treloar gets played this week or not at all? VFL is joke intensity for him, we need to test him in finals-like intensity - same with Croft. 3 goals in a walkover win has an asterisk next to it.

There is no VFL game this week, so it's all or nothing

That pick we gave up for Koops was used on David Mundy.

I'm not sure you remember him, he played a few games...

This hits too close to home. Big hugs.

Still hope you choke though.

Sanders is a bit of a conundrum.

Still far too inconsistent with the actual damage the does with the ball vs his sideways/backwards handball tendencies. Had some promising form this season but regressed as it’s gone on.

He’s not a bad player but he also has no point of difference (at this point of his career) and his weaknesses make it difficult to play him there ahead of who we have available. Kind of similar to Macrae last year.

i don’t think he’s a good sub choice either, just like Macrae wasn’t. Garcia or AJ would be better.

I don’t imagine it would go down well with the lad but I’m not sure of his place in the side now that we’re essentially playing in a final. Tough one.
My only issue with Sanders is his defensive efforts. He actually seems pretty strong overhead and has quickish hands and vision but once the ball is lost he does not seem to chase very hard at all.
