I’d leave McStay out for Fort but not make any other big changes

Liked Robbos game hes our fourth best wing after Berry, Prior, Ah Chee so gets a game if at least one of those are missing

None of the other inclusions did enough to hold a spot

According to Fages Answerth will be the only one from the covid bunch that won't be available to play. All our injured players a chance to be available too as they were all "on the minor side".

I find it hard to believe that zorko can do a hammy 2 games in a row and be ready to go. Needs a good month on the sidelines.

Very hard to decide just yet, all the HSP players come back in besides Answerth(7 days wont be up)... injured were Rich, Zorko, J.Berry and Prior.

So that means the definite returns would be Harris Andrews, Dan McStay, Callum Ah Chee, Keidean Coleman. I'm going to assume none of the injured players get up.

Ins- Harris Andrews, Dan McStay, Callum Ah Chee, Keidean Coleman.

Outs- Ryan Lester, Nakia Cockatoo, Darcy Fort/Eric Hipwood, Tom Fullarton.

If by chance 1 or more of the injured players get up I'd expect the next in line to be omitted would be Harry Sharp, Carter Michael, James Madden, James Tunstill.

I agree completely but the intention seems to be to bring him straight back in. If there's another early substitution eyebrows will be raised.

I liked the Darcy Fort and Oscar combo with one resting forward.
It's a raffle who we get back but we need some changes. That shouldn't be the Ruck duo. I thought Payne was just completely outplayed today. He showed a lack of basic Football nous, his positioning on Peter 2.0 was woeful and on numerous occasions he did not offer the necessary physical aggression required of a KPD. He is a bruise free defender. No close contact,no niggle. Looks like Tarzan..plays like.. Sure it's hard when the ball is coming in fast but he needs to watch Darcy Gardiner to see what's expected. I'd drop him. I'd bring Dan Mcstay in and play him as a backman. We don't need him up forward as a tall if we play 2 Rucks. He was recruited as a KPD

I keep Fort think we better with the 2 ruck.
Honestly I like to try McStay in the middle. Blicavs did a great job there on Thursday night
worth a try.. Or Starc in the middle or AhChee or Dev or Terry.. Just someone different then the part time forwards.

Personally I like to keep Cockatoo if I could for forward pressure.
Answerth miss so Carter again.

You assume Zorko another week out
Rich as well
so changes out Madden, Fullarton, Sharp, Robbo, Lester
In Ah Chee, McStay, Andrews, Coleman and Berry.

Out passengers ... in passionate professionals.

Sadly the members of those two groups vary from game to game and sometimes from quarter to quarter :(

I wonder what it would be like to follow a team whose best and worst are not all that far away - as a team we have seen glimpses but it would be nice to have that squad-level maturity, certain standards that are held inviolable and, at a bare minimum, that each player chosen is determined that whatever else happens on the field that their opponents knew they were playing and had to deal with the potential fear that knowledge brought.

been our problem week in and week out.
Players play 5-10 mins and then go missing

Linc got 3 today a few weeks ago everyone want him gone
seem to have too many players who hot or cold.
Not saying play Lester every week (sorry 3KZ) although we need a few players who can do it over and over for four qtrs
Not 5-10 mins and then go missing

Its a sad reflection on Hipwood that a total out of form McStay is considered a better bet by many.

Both these players are very over rated on this years form. McStay had one very good game down at Geelong.

Playing the Big O as a permanent forward is a rather odd thought that has crossed my mind. He looks like he can take a contested mark up forward which Hipwwood and McStay haven't for months. It was revealing that several times yesterday we went to McCarthy rather than Hipwood.

1 change id like to see and I'm bound to get berated for is Rayner for Matho.

When the ball is there to be won Rayner can barely get his hands on it lately. I see 2 positives out of a move like this.

A) Matho gets his long awaited chance after months of overperforming in the magoos plus others get a sense that you will be rewarded.

B) Bit of a wakeup call for Rayner. Yes he is coming off an acl. But that shouldn't mean he is not prone to not performing when we need.

I mean there is a reason why I'm not coaching. Calls like this are probably that reason. Just my 20cs.

Don't mind it although it makes us slower or just as slow on transition, the 1 even less likely option I would like to see is Matho in for Jarryd Lyons, Jarryd has regressed quite a bit lately and I know Matho would show more desire to run both ways and do the little one percenters like shepherding... does not use the ball by foot as well as Jarryd though.
