He set up a goal by taking an overhead mark!Poor old Kane Mitchell, 14 min last week then dropped. I wonder what he did/didn't do in that time. Seems that it's goodbye.
Listening to Nicksy, it sounds like a genuine injury, he said that Jay had wanted to play, didn't want to let the team down, but the doctor and the coaches felt it would be bad for him in the longer term.I have no info - just wondering if Schultz is really injured or that's the end of sarge at port and its a pre-freo "injury"? Hope its the former.
For what it's worth keep lobbe forward. Convinced Ryder is our #1 ruck. Lobbe needs to be a useful forward presence.
Cheers. Hope so.Listening to Nicksy, it sounds like a genuine injury, he said that Jay had wanted to play, didn't want to let the team down, but the doctor and the coaches felt it would be bad for him in the longer term.
Poor bloke has had a shit year compared to 2014, as have a few in the team.As I mentioned in the Schulz thread, he was cleaned up early in the second quarter by Gibson crashing in to his back, which probably aggravated his injury.

Actually, the way Nicks spoke about wanting Jay fit for the longer term, it sounded more like they were expecting him to be here beyond this season. Hopefully Jay and the club can work out something everyone is happy with.Cheers. Hope so.
Nup Ken puts his player welfare first. He was doing fine, actually better than fine, til Ken left him on when he done his ankle vs West Coast, then his contract situation was disclosed.
Would've thought Redden was a more viable option IF Lobbe is being brought in for the loss of height in the forward line in Schulz.
Harvs didn't play for the Maggies last week, I assume he was injured, he had a couple of very quiet games in the two previous weeks though.
not even a little surprisingHarvey isn't injured. He's been left out and told to work his arse off on the track. Contract not guaranteed.
No. Neade hasn't played a game after 30th June in the SANFL.Can Neade and Mitchell qualify for SANFL finals?
I'd like to hope Young will get a full game and Amon be the sub but I think Young is in to replace Mitchell and Amon to replace Neade.
Not sure why you'd drop Neade personally, kid needs games and I love what he does up forward. I also still undecided on the out of form Amon so seems strange to me.
Why bring in a player who is injury prone into a dead rubber this late in the year? Very little to gain really. Best let him play out at the Magpies or even better just send him for a early preseason i guess.
Yep as much as I would like to see him play the last 3 weeks has been poor. Why didnt this happen 4 to 6 weeks ago when he was in form.Unfortunately Harvey has been pretty average in the SANFL.
Our five underdone players round 1, Jared Polec, Matt White playing many games hobbled, Carlile rushed back from his first injury barely able to bend down, Schulz needing a rest for weeks says differently. Our player welfare has been shit this year.Nup Ken puts his player welfare first.
Because he wasn't in form to take the spot of any of our tall forwards.Yep as much as I waould like to see him play the last 3 weeks has been poor. Why didnt this happen 4 to 6 weeks ago when he was in form.
How do you know that?Harvey isn't injured. He's been left out and told to work his arse off on the track. Contract not guaranteed.
But he was in form to be picked over a 5 foot 11 forward.Because he wasn't in form to take the spot of any of our tall forwards.
