agreed....... very good stuff

i cant see sheedy making any more than 2 changes even tho i feel we need to make more than that...i can even see kepler getting another game after sheedy came out and defended him like he did.
i think:
In: Winders, Welsh
Out: Bolton, Dyson

i hope:
In: Winders, Welsh, Houli :thumbsu:
Out: Bolton, Dyson, Bradley

no bradley out???wtf??? and wheres hille

i think Bradley should be out but i feel that Sheedy will keep him in....i totally forgot about Hille so i must say that if Hille is fit then Bradley will be dropped otherwise Bradley will keep his spot in the team unfortunately...:(

In- jj,houli,hille and hislop
Out-johns,dyson
Out for ever-bolton and bradley

Does anyone think hirdy needs to miss a game? I no there will be a 9 day break between games but i think he should miss the hawthorn game also

Tom Hislop was on report for charging, has anyone heard anything as to whether he had to go up before the tribunal?

The Hawks coaching staff are fired up...

First and foremost, we have to get back onto the winners' list this weekend against Essendon – one of our club's great rivals.

Having come from another football club, Melbourne, it's been really apparent to me the rivalry between Hawthorn and Essendon since I joined the Hawks. We've had some great encounters against the Bombers over the years, particularly during the 1980s in several grand finals.

It's one game the players don't have any trouble getting up for, and I know our supporters and members look forward to this game every year.

We managed to get over the line a couple of times last year, so they are always good clashes. This will be no exception this year and I would imagine it should be a great crowd at the MCG. Both teams are in pretty good form, so it should be a top game.

Richie Vandenberg, Joel Smith, Trent Croad and Clinton Young will all be in the selection mix this weekend after missing matches through injury, which also means it will be a tough week at the selection committee.

What rivalry ;)

JJ himself said two weeks (after the ANZAC Day game)...hopefully he is ready now as we need his hardness at stopages...

In: JJ, Houli,Winderlich, Welsh
Out: Bradley, Dyson, Slattery, Watson

From what ive seen of JJ in the VFL, he just doesnt look quite right yet anyway. Not sure what it is, but he just seems to be missing something. He almost looks at home in the VFL. I hope he can return, but ATM, he should stay where he is and give Bachar/Reimers a go.

PS. I know people are going to say that Reimers isnt ready yet, blah blah blah. I would really love to see him play though, he just looks so composed, like he has been playing AFL for years. This kid will be speeeecccciiiiaaaalllllllllllll

I will dare say this:

IS REIMERS THE NEXT HIRD??

He is a bottom aged draft pick, probably would have gone top ten at the end of the year. I can't believe how low the talent ran in last year's draft.

Yeah, I cant believe we managed Bachar and Reimers with our 2 last picks. Friggin awesome.

I can't see Sheeds dropping Watson or Slattery, and rightfully so. These threads are more what we want to happen rather than what should/will happen.

Slatts is in doubt, has a slight hammy.

How did Hille go at training. How did Welsh and Winderlich look also.

Cheers

Wlesh and Winderlich looked ok on Monday , got through the fitness test ok. I guess we whill see where they are at this afternoon.
Hille was in the modified group but did some running afterwards so he would still be 50/50 but is till a chance to come up.

Hille has been anounced that he will miss.
Slattery wont play after seeing him train today in the mod group.
NLM also no chance.
Winderlich and Welsh both will be ready. JJ , Lonergan and Houli all trained very well. Looked like they where all pushing to 120%.
The only real downer was Gumbleton who looks to have done his right hammy.
