Mainly depends on Ling/Ablett IMO.

Wojac back in, and Varcoe would be the likely choice to go as Gamble booted a bag this week.

IN: Wojac (Ablett) (Ling - but I hope he has another week)
OUT: Varcoe (Prismall) (um....?)

next week will be wojac for varcoe

then ablett for prismall

then ling for taylor or lonergan / gamble

I'm probably going to get flamed, but I thought some of Mackie's disposals and decisions were not up to scratch.

Prismall with a few consecutive games under the belt would look much better than he did today, but going on past selection decisions he'd be the first to go.

Mackie will stay in, but needs to perform better under pressure in future. Has enough points on the board to have a bad day and keep his position.

I would have thought lonergan out for gamble. I know he's kicked probably 8 goals in two weeks previous but most of his goals were basically cherry picking. There is no way gamble can go out after that performance.

Id prefer to go against the hawks without the 3 missing today and just omit sellwood and millburn for fun next week haha.

I think mackie had done enough to say his position isnt up for grabs for the rest of the season.

Mackie? Thought he was one of our best today, he wouldnt even be discussed as an option of getting dropped. Yes he had about 3 dodgy kicks but did some really good stuff aswell.

IN : Wojcinski [if fit]
OUT : Varcoe [probably]

* If Ling is fit then he'll replace Prismall

Ablett wont be risked !!!

Ling will be needed, My inside mail tells me the only thing holding linga back is the nerves around the wounds on his face. And hes a tuff ****er !!!

we need to shut down the hawks mid's.....no mids = no hawks

A few players looked nervous early - Harls, Bartel, Mackie, Prismall, and Moondog among them. I wouldn't read too much into a few missed targets, especially in that first half.

In all honesty, I can't put my hand on my heart and pick out someone to drop. Thought our "worst" player today was probably Lonners but gee he'd be stiff to be bumped...

Unless Ling and Ablett pull of miraculous recoveries - none. Just no reason to risk them after that devastating performance.

Wojak for Prismall. And then thats it. Alett and Ling to be rested for another week. Not only that, but beating the Hawks without those two would add just that little bit more to the victory.

Early on, Mackie looked a bit dodge, but I thought he became pretty prominent later on and his disposal was largely superlative. He seems to have scratchy starts for some reason.

Prissa out for Woj - the rest will depend on Ablett or Lingy and whether they are 100%. Even for the Hawks, there is no reason to risk either of them. Rooke did a super job on Cooney, who did SFA, and I reckon he is up to the job on Hodge or Mitchell.

I'm not sure that Rooke played the whole game on Cooney anyway did he?

I though Mackie worked into the game, and although he put his teammates under the pump at times with some slack handballs etc, he wasn't on his own in the first half, we butchered the footy a fair bit. I thought Lonergan also did quite a good job, took 8 marks, and a couple in the first quarter when the game was under the pump, he also missed a reasonably tough shot for goal pushing into the wind in the first quarter.

Only player that didn't do a hell of a lot yesterday was varcoe for mine, but I don't think he needs to do a lot to keep his spot. I'd say Prismall is most likely on the chopping block for wojak if he comes back, then varcoe/lonners for ablett and probably gamble or someone for ling.

It's going to be tough. Going on yesterday you'd say Gamble looks like the best forward option behind mooney/johnson etc, but Lonergan also had a good couple of weeks prior to yesterday's game.

Doc Larkins from TSFS said Woja might need another week,if that is the case no change unless there are further injuries that we don't know about.

Changes for Hawks game...

Im guessing there would be no changes unless Ablett plays, then it would be:
Out: Prismall In: Ablett

It would be too difficult to call i think... everyone in the team are in such great form, and now Gamble, lol... But i guess Ablett would be the only possible change...:thumbsu:
