rfctiger74 ..... i agree with what you are saying, but I stll have a feeling we will be stepping up against some good sides over the next few weeks. we are definately not as bad as we showed yesterday. If we lost yesterday's game with all our regular players in the team, then i would be shattered. As it is, I will stay positive with the boys, and I for one did not have us in the 8 this year, and was always going to give Hardwick his full three years ....By the way, I was at the game yesterday, the flight home gives you time to reflect. Bring on Kangas![]()

Sorry to disappoint but he won't be getting any weeks. Cotchin is more likely to get rubbed out then ziebell who actually got the footy.Ziebells gone. Don't agree with it but he's gone.
The ball was in the air hence he jumped to get it which you are allowed to do. He won't get any weeks for going for the footyZiebell is in trouble, you leave the ground and injure an opponent you get weeks. The ball being in play may drop it to 1 week. Big loss as our midfield mix has been super, Cunnington must come in and perform.
Richmond are a real chance, we are half the side away from Etihad and could have 3 of our top 10 players out.
Why would I be disappointed? Makes no difference to me as we couldn't beat time with a stick at the moment no matter who's playing and I don't like seeing players rubbed out playing hard footy.Sorry to disappoint but he won't be getting any weeks. Cotchin is more likely to get rubbed out then ziebell who actually got the footy.
Both will be safe
Don't shoot the messenger as I don't think he deserves to be suspended but after Maxwell got off for his hit on McGinnity where he didn't get McGinnity high but then broke his jaw hitting the ground, they changed terminology.Well there's this thing called the ground, which he hit his head on after he was knocked down.
In this case. Gawn...........Don't shoot the messenger as I don't think he deserves to be suspended but after Maxwell got off for his hit on McGinnity where he didn't get McGinnity high but then broke his jaw hitting the ground, they changed terminology.
Tribunal guidelines:
Contact shall be classified as high or to the groin where a player's
head or groin makes contact with another player or object such as the
fence or the ground as a result of the actions of the offending player.

Ziebell didn't hit joseph in the head, he bumped shoulders and ribs when going for the footy.Don't shoot the messenger as I don't think he deserves to be suspended but after Maxwell got off for his hit on McGinnity where he didn't get McGinnity high but then broke his jaw hitting the ground, they changed terminology.

It astounds me you can be so confident in light of what we've seen recently.Ziebell didn't hit joseph in the head, he bumped shoulders and ribs when going for the footy.
So your case above is not relevant.
Trust me ziebs will not get weeks and if he does then so will cotchin

I can't believe people think ziebell might go, we didn't even give away a free kick.I can't understand why people think cotch will go. It was barely worth the 50 metres he got.

Maybe, maybe not.even if he goes, do you seriously think the midfield you saw yesterday will be able to match yours?
I know it sucks losing a guy, right or wrong, but I don't think its gunna swing the balance that much
So explain to us then how Jospeh spent the rest of the game on the bench suffering from concussion? I'm all for supporting your players when they are in trouble but the fact of the matter is that Jospeh was unable to play the rest of the game after Ziebell hit him and thats what counts. Cotchin is the same as Camerons from last week was jumping for the mark and when realised that he couldn't take it tried to make the spoil. Unfortunately for him he didn't hit the Suns player high and got pinged for it.Ziebell didn't hit joseph in the head, he bumped shoulders and ribs when going for the footy.

Joseph wasn't concussed, he broke his collarbone. Which further proves he was hit in the shoulder region and not the head.So explain to us then how Jospeh spent the rest of the game on the bench suffering from concussion? As for Ziebell not giving away a free kick, the umpire in the Shuey/Thomas case said that in hindsight he would have given a freekick against Shuey, so the line of Ziebell didn't get pinged doesn't work either.
Doesn't matter if he got hands on the footy and whether gave away a freekick or not. Taylor Walker won a free kick for his tackle on Morris 2 weeks ago and still got suspended for his actions. Ziebell is every chance to go given he left the ground made high contact and injured Joseph and caused him to miss the rest of the game.Joseph wasn't concussed, he broke his collarbone. Cotchin gave away a 50m and hit the GC player late in the head with a open palm. As opposed to ziebs who got hands to the footy.
Lindsay Thomas broke Rohan's leg yet didn't get suspended. Your logic is very poor.Doesn't matter if he got hands on the footy and whether gave away a freekick or not. Cotchin gave away a 50 for an open hand slap, didn't cause injury and didn't cause the Suns player to miss the rest of the game.
