He would want to hit the ground running.

North have scored 121, 136 and 149 points against mid ladder or better sides in 3 of our last 4 matches since we rejigged the forward line with the three talls. The other being the game in slippery conditions in Tassie.

Richmond have only barely cracked 100 points once in their last 5 matches.

understand dude. But then again in the last 5 matches the you have had 147 scoring shots and we have had 139. We have been supremely inaccurate, you have been pretty accurate. You are due for a bad day we are due for a good one. Your last 3 have been - going from most recent back - 24-5, 13-6 and 21-10, before that you reeled off - 17-19 and 11-21, so you are susceptible to kicking badly.
As i said if we get the scoreboard pressure happening for the amount we get it in, you are toast, trust me.

Glad Miller isn't playing.

Go Jayden! Hopefully he plays in the forward line.

Figure they're looking to use him as 2nd ruck, so he will be.

This game is at the MCG. Not the bastketball court that is Etihad.

Fair enough. There's not much of a form line to go on there.

In the past two seasons Collingwood has given us a touch up at the G, but we comfortably accounted for Richmond and Melbourne there in 2010.

We can't read much in to that.

Full Line Up:
B: Morris Rance Newman
HB: Houli Moore Dea
C: Grigg Cotchin Deledio
HF: Martin Edwards Jackson
F: McGuane Riewoldt Nahas
R: I.Maric Conca Tuck
INT: Post Ellis O'Hanlon A.Maric
EMG: Graham Miller Webberley

For mine I would move Edwards to the pocket McGuane to CHF and have lil Maric start as the sub.

No doubt they will be looking to hand off wide to Grigg and Houli in order to get forward and crreate scoring options.

It might sound a bit ridiculous, but I reckon Tony Shaw made a good point on Fox last night we he stated that sitting on Grigg and Houli stifles a lot of Richmonds forward momentum. These two probably don't get enough attention due to the guns in your midfield. Tactically, they are very important to Richmond.

actually Grigg and Houli have started getting attention because teams now if you shut them down we struggle to get our run and spread game going, even if Cotchin/Martin/Tuck/Foley are getting the ball out

and if you put a fast attacking player on Grigg i.e sloane, he is going to get cut up

How can any Tiger be confident of a win this week after last weeks joke? I'm currently sitting in a corner with a black eye, she beat me so hard last week. I'm too scared to move from my corner.

Please dont hit me again Richmond ...... :(

Post of the year

Earlier today watched a bit of the Melb game ( R3) and yes, the thing that hit me was how we are missing these 3 (esp. Foley!)

Forgot about pushup too although he didn't play in that game.

what is the update on Astbury, is he ever going to get a game in the law few rounds on the season? It would be concerning if we don't get him back until next year, it would mean he would have missed a whole season and a half...

Would think he'd probably be pushing for selection in another 3 or so weeks. He needs match fitness and experience at VFL level before he can take the next step. Hopefully he can get a few under his belt before season's end and be another option for us as a swing man heading into finals

happy with astbury just playing out the year in the coburg seniors as a back. Dont want to rush him back but if we are going to play him it wont be until the last 3 rounds I'd guess. Long term approach here guys. You want him 100% fit for preseason and raring to go. It is OK if he doesn't play in the AFL this year. Let him regain his touch first.

With all due respect to the guys left out, the four ins could not be better from the choices we have. Those outs may have played their last game, which is always unfortunate. Miller in particular has been a great role model for the young blokes. Hope he stays on as an assistant/mentor, and Pia still cheers him on.
