You got that right. People fails to understand how hard Slattery's position is. He defends the quickest most and the most dangerous player on the forawrd with less speed. He generally reads the pay well and has a nice kick.

The only bad thing you can say about Slattery is the poor free kicks he gives away. The rest are fine.

It was no worse than Dempsey's.

His ability to run and carry more than made up for not hitting targets, besdies its not a technique issue from what I saw, it's more about Colyer learning how slow up before he kicks the ball.

lol no. Cloyer's disposal is way worse than Demsey's.

Demsey's is generally has a good kick, sure you would get the occasional miss but it's generally good. Compare than with Travis who needs to spray his kicks. Would come good though, if Stanton and Watson can improve, he can too.

Because it's absolutely irrelevant how old you are if you're in the team, what matters is how you perform.

We're talking about changes for the match against WCE, not "who's going to be better when they're 25".

But the Bombers will regain Michael Hurley, who is expected to line up in the forward line after serving a club-imposed sanction

Jake Melksham and Travis Colyer will most likely hold their spots, but Brent Prismall will not be considered.

Alwyn Davey, who was dropped last week with Prismall, will travel with the team but is no certainty to play.

Fail to understand? I've played in his position for a few years at one stage and believe me, i get it.
The fact that he allows his opponents so many uncontested posseessions, is one thing i don't get.
The fact that he turns the ball over and so frequently puts his fellow defenders under pressure, i also don't get.

Not a bad effort against one of the more dangerous small forward combinations in the competition (Betts, Yarran). He only missed 2 targets for the night (horrible disposal hey?). Yes, he is not the best small forward in the competition, but he is that type of player every team needs. A consumate team man, who wears his heart on his sleeve.

Obviously a disappointing effort from 'Hank' this game, but the midfield being very sluggish and slow is not a great way to help your defenders out. His opponent (Ballantyne) did kick a couple late to make his stats look better (4 goals). He was doing the team things ( 5 tackles, 2 1%'s) so give him a break.

A solid game against one of the greatest unit;s we have seen. He played another very good team orientated game. Do not let his opponent fool you, he did a good job, obviously he had a poor night with his disposal (running at 73%) but every player has an average night (Just ask Brent Harvey ).

Overall, 'Hank' is not a superstar, but he is a good solid player. His disposal is actually better than what people think, does the team things (4.3 1%'s per game, 4.6 tackles per game) and does some good things coming out of defence. I would prefer to see him dish it to our runners before he needs to kick, but other than that, 'Hank' is doing a good job.

Do not see what the problem is with his position?

**PS: He finished where 6th/7th, in our Best & Fairest last year, gee, the people who are in the know and matter must rate him highly**

Did your team suck? if they did, you would know it is harder to manage your opponent when they have free passage to the 50.
