Should we just move Stewart on if we are not going to use him at his age?

He's contracted until next year and was obviously kept on as depth. If we were going to move him on we would have done it at the end of last year.

I'd be disappointed if S Gray gets a full game first up, while Arch and Karlos have had to spend their first games as the sub...

I wouldn't.

Sam isn't an unexperienced first gamer like ah chee and amon was. He has experienced an afl game before, has been against hardened bodies in the sanfl and the whole reason we brought him in would be to crumb in the forward line. Would be pretty stupid to make him sub and put him on for a quarter when we would need a small forward the whole game.

Ken and co. dont much like Broadie it seems. No votes from them in 3 finals last year was unbelievable.

Ok they are prepared to drop a 1st 18 player, so when does Westhoff get held accountable for not kicking goals or being involved in more of them? He is the Mark Waugh of Port Adelaide, Waugh was in the Test side for his batting, but because he was a great fielder in any position and can bowl, he kept his spot despite his main role was to get runs and regularly didnt. Same with the Hoff. He should have kicked 15 goals by now, not 5, but because he goes down back and takes the marks you want him to take inside forward 50, not the defensive 50, he stays.

There are more selectable Broady equivalents than Westhoff

We can't have Krak, Pittard and Broadbent in the same side. Last 2 weeks have proven that. Broadbent hasn't been playing badly, but his form is behind the other 2 so no issues with the side for me.
Krak can play anywhere, maybe the balance hasn't been right across the field of late but those 3 can and will be in our best side.

More saying that with Krak's inability to play 4 strong quarters, would love to see him take Polec's spot on the wing but seems he doesn't have the tank just yet.

How the hell Impey and White survived the chop ahead of Broadbent is baffling. Absolutely baffling.

Coaches mustve seen something in the replay I definitely didn't last week.

I agree our forward pressure has been way off in the past few weeks, but would have thought Wingard, Monfries and R Gray are enough small forwards. My main gripe would be Karlos getting the vest again, then getting dropped the week after to get match fitness and we don't get to see what he can really produce.

So what, players have to be held accountable. How long do we keep Westhoff in the side playing a CHF contributing 0.7 goals a game?

At some point Butcher, Harvey and Shaw have to be given a go to see if they can do better than him. Not saying this week, but bugger me if Westhoff is still producing these poor results, then you give Harvey and co. a go in round 15.

No doubt they are pumping the game time into him for that reason he's been far more than serviceable for a guy readjusting to AFL intensity I'd say.

Pretty happy with changes to be honest. Broadbent out IMO has been in the pipe works for about 10 months. Sub will be very interesting as personally Amon small forward mid > S.Gray small forward mid just from ability to apply pressure which is really what we're missing. Finally made the hard call on a defender which is a huge bonus.

I guess I'll say it.

Broadbent = trade bait?

Fwiw I don't think Broady has been playing well but there are other senior players that get dropped before him.

No. He got dropped for a game, he won't be the 1st and won't be the last player to go through it. See how he responds from it.

remind me what month we are in

Josh Carr's interview seemed to hint Broady will be strongly considered next week even without a run in the SANFL

I think your Westhoff hulk rage is a bit misplaced. It's not like he's been playing as a stay at home key forward. He's been dropping back into defence playing through the middle and up forward. Perhaps it is time to settle him in one spot.

I would hope everyone would be strongly considered next week who doesn't have a run in the SANFL, seeing as how Cornes won't be playing.
