Who else does Brown go on? Jenkins is their other tall and he is more agile than Walker.

Whatever we do we are gonna be in lot of trouble if Walker is on, our KPD stocks are pretty concerning.

I disagree totally and am very happy with our group of tall defenders. To me we've got two defensive talls who rarely get touched up, in Frost and Brown. One high quality complete package- albeit injury prone - in Reid and two very promising up and comers in Marsh and Moore.

Frost and Brown - C Graders

Reid - Can't get on the park

Marsh and Moore - At least one will end up playing as a forward

I definitely think we need more support for Grundy, and not sure we can play both Ramsay and Oxley, and I'm more inclined to keep Oxley in given his kicking skills. Obviously Sidey goes out. Also no point playing degoey next week. Needs game time.

I'd push Goldy into the back half next week, and play PK up forward as a third marking target, allowing White to play more time in the ruck. I think Dwyer will come in for Sidey. I'd bring Broomhead in for De Goey.

Outs: Sidey, De Goey, Ramsay

Ins: PK, Dwyer, Broomhead

I think Frost is one of our best pick ups for years, and one of the better blanketing defenders in the comp. Brown is a good solid player. Neither of them of c-grader but I doubt it is optimal to have both in the same team given they offer nothing other than stopping their opponent.

I doubt he improves and will most likely revert back to the norm in standard conditions.

What really irks me about these boards are the short memories some have. Yes Blair played well on the weekend but we all know that he is a good performer in wet conditions and against bottom four sides. Just because he's played one good game doesn't absolve him of his form the last few seasons where he averages about 15 possessions per match and contributes little to the scoreboard; or the fact that he gets found out against quality opposition sides.

The arguments for Blair being dropped aren't due to some deep seeded hate of the bloke. It's due to the belief that his performances in recent years have not justified selection and he has stood in the way of younger and more talented players getting opportunities in the senior team. Even his most strident supporters would have to concede that he doesn't have much scope for improvement as a player. Given where our club currently sits on the ladder (that is around 8th spot with no realistic chance of competing for premiership) the focus should primarily be on players who do have the scope for improvement that will move out team up the ladder.

For the record, I think Blair is useful depth and am more than happy to see him play when there are injuries or the conditions suit - like on the weekend. With the entire list available, however, it would be retrograde for him to be selected on a consistent basis. It irritates me that after one win where he performs well you get sniped for holding a legitimate opinion on this board. Especially when there is no justification for those disagreeing other than lol jargon like "intensity" or "forward pressure". I

Dont worry about being sniped after 1 good game. Thats not where the debate lies. It lies around the concept of whether Blair is best 22 and whether he is holding back young talent. I haven't changed my position based on 1 game he has always been in my best 22. More impacting of the scoreboard helps his cause and it was one thing he mentioned in a recent interview. His stats are okay otherwise. His role is not to get a lot of stats. In set plays and ball ups etc when they all have a role to play his wont be one of the guys the ball we plan to go to. Nonetheless he will be doing a lot off the ball to set us up. He has proven himself on the big stage and has payed a good amount of finals footy. He is coming into his prime years so i can see him as part of our next success. Younger players can push him out when and if they become better than him. His future isnt guaranteed by any means but at the current time i have no doubt the Match Committee see him as best 22

Well, Sadly at best it be 2 Seasons before he can play again

Adam Oxley is a gun, great kick, Anyone that wants to drop him obviously didn't watch him.
He's not a gun yet but he has the potential to be one.

I would keep him in ahead of Ramsay this week, we need skilled players coming out of the backline, we have enough tough defenders who can't bloody kick.

Outs: Sidebottom (inj.), Oxley

Ins: Broomhead, Karnezis

I believe the Ox will come good but I am also patient. Has some gifts but not quite ready yet.
