Dawes, Cloke and Brown, with Jolls in the ruck - good point.
I'm still undecided whether it's the way to go.
If we bring in PK for Sidey as an example it provides us with more flexibility.
Best I leave it to the experts.
Not sure any have logged on to BF yet.

Witts missed with the old military injury, 'General Soreness' so anyone's guess what's going on there

Reid has not been sighted since the club denied he had done his hammy

Not true, here's Reid standing next to Moore at quarter time of the VFL game, yes he was in shorts and a jacket, but hey he is alive;

Two Changes for me, we were run off our feet in last last so i'd like to bring another Midfielder in

Out: Sidebottom, Oxley
In: Broomhead, Kennedy

Adelaide's flogging of North Melbourne would not bother me for next week if we hadn't lost Sidebottom. In our weakened midfield, he is a crucial performer. Broomhead is the player most like him, but doesn't get anywhere near as much of the ball. Swan's return to his ball getting best covers some of it, and I expect he will kick a dry ball far better. De Goey will probably get a full game and another midfielder from Kennedy, Karnezis and Broomhead will come in as sub. We will be asking an awful lot of Grundy again, but I can't see another ruck coming in to help given that Adelaide only field the one.
As with the last game, we are just looking to scrounge 4 points here while our best team develops. I was very pleasantly surprised by the performance of the two young back flankers that came in. They should both hold their spots.

Oxley be very Stiff. Rather Ramsey or Sinclair get Dropped before Oxley

Moore any chance? Why not get him in if ready to go. Could replace either Oxley or Williams.

Should leave Sinkers in after his effort and Crisp also deserving of another game.

Dwyer/Kennedy or Broomhead in for Sidebottom.

Oxley had 5 touches in the first part of the first quarter and ended with 8 for the game… 3 of which were absolute clangers and one other which was also ineffective… Not sure how he's such an amazing user of the football and why some people on here think he played so well against the Lions….

You forgot the bit about him cramping up badly half way through the third quarter, and needing to be subbed out.

Yes, the conditions were difficult, but wouldn't surprise me if he needs a rest this week.

Hey mike123 ...

... With Sidebottom out, Greenwood out (and on the LTI list), Thomas out, and Dwyer probably out, ...

.... and the team needing to maintain a balance of experience and youth ...

.... reckon there's any chance of Armstrong getting promoted?

We did run out of legs and Armstrong has shown he's a good runner, but I don't think so. His VFL performances must be something out of this world for him to get a game. I've conceded he might have played his last game.

As much as I want to see him run in the black and white again, I don't think it will happen.

Obviously a Saddam Huessein-esque body double.

The real Reid is probably in cryo storage in a vault deep beneath Westpac Centre, ala Walt Disney.

:drunk:

Why have people gone off Seedsman? I read reports that he was one of our best on the weekend.

Granted the SEED is ready to go my prediction is

- Oxley
- Sidebottom

+ THE SEED
+ Broomhead

Wow! Just wow!

If the Seed is match fit enough than I agree he should get a game.

We would have to be hitting Rock Bottom to Promote Armstrong

Think you're being harsh on Armstrong. He was kept on our list for a reason

Because he played some Okay Games and Hine and Co did not really rate the Rookie Draft

DeGoey clearly can't run a full game out (from watching all his pre-season games, including the VFL trial versus Richmond) but his 5 touches in just over a quarter were more beneficial to the side than Oxley's 8 in nearly 3 quarters.
Oxley had an average night, but don't be fooled by one outing. I've seen him play a fair few times in his first year, and he was at that stage, easily the best kick of all the recruits from his year. Keep in mind that he hadn't played a real afl level game in over 12 months before Saturday. He'll need a little time to get his touch back, but when he does, he will be one of the best kicks we have in the side.

Indeed, his goal against Carlton in NAB challenge was sublime!

I do wonder if he'll get regular kick out duties? As good as Langdon is (he did well on Saturday night) I'd rather Langdon out receiving the ball in the field of play

Better kick than Broomhead? Really?
Yes. I've seen Oxley kick 50-60m Reid-esqe type bullet passes in the VFL. His kicking is a joy to watch when he is on song.
Broomy is a far more talented player, don't get me wrong, and a lovely kick of the footy, but Ox is a simply beautiful kick, and could prove to be a real weapon on the rebound if he can pull the rest of his game together.
