Has it been mentioned that Cloke is a chance to miss with a knee problem?
Apparently copped a knock on Saturday and is still feeling it...
Expected to train a full session on Thursday and play but the fact that it's even being talked about makes me a little bit uneasy.

No Cloke Reid Sidebottom Greenwood... that's nearly 4 of our best 5 players out :$

SURELY he can't miss! They said he's expected for full training and to play...
If he misses I'm even less confident of a win.

Open training session tomorrow at 10pm so we should find out if any of the players who got knocks vs the Lions are in doubt.

By the way the Crows are going to wear their all white outfit against us, even more reason to hate them, they will look like old school umpires.
That's the advertised time, yes.

Not sure if it was incorrectly advertised somewhere but http://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/2015-04-08/open-training-thursday-morning says 10am to 11:45am.

Anyone wanting to meet Reid and see that he's not chronically injured, on his death bed, does actually exist can see him from 12:15pm at the Westpac shop.

Given they are trying to sell merchandise the only way I can see that happening is if it has black and white stripes all over it, maybe Reid's jumper number on the back....

I thought our forward line worked perfectly i really see no reason to change it
Different conditions, different opposition - horses for courses selection. New information since last selections were made - did some not do their role but weren't found out against Brisbane but may against Crows, some not fit enough due to last week's game or injury since. Lots of potential reasons for change. Stay the same in AFL and you will be overtaken - applies more to strategies etc but demonstrates the need to be dynamic, obviously to be balanced by need for reasonably settled team.

Kicking more behinds than goals certainly doesn't meet my definition of perfectly either.

My preview is up;

https://sportsmatt.wordpress.com/2015/04/08/afl-round-2-collingwood-vs-adelaide-match-preview/

Tipped us by 11 and we won by 12 last week, let's hope I'm as close this week.

Enjoy.:)

I think we could Really Struggle vs Crows.

They are a big upgrade on the Lions and Crows have a Dominate KPF’s.

Grundy is going up against Jacbos one of the Best Rucks in the AFL that is in his Prime.

Sidebottom injury hurts our Depth in the Midfleid.

Also we play not very well at the Dump at Docklands.

We won’t get Destroyed but I am tipping the Crows by 20-30 points

Because Grundy needs more of a chop out, he ran out of puff in the last quarter and considering how our forward line worked I wouldn't want White spending more time in the ruck.

Yep - Grundy is early in Development, so he can’t Ruck a whole game yet. So needs to be chopped out more then he did vs Lions

And his comming up against Jacobs, who really good around the ground and came close to an AA last year. The more support for him the better.

I don’t think Jacobs would destroy Grundy but would Ware him Out quicker then Martin and Leunberger did

The last time I went to Etihad, we kicked 11 goals in the last quarter and beat the Crows...
I'm making the drive over again this weekend, so lets hope the same result awaits!
One of my favourite quarters of football of all time. Big marks by Krak an Leon. Torp by he who shall not be mentioned. 11 goals straight from memory. No behinds. Would love to see that sort of accuracy again.

And let's not forget this - one of my favourite Collingwood memories of all time.

Yeah i see your point. Its tough because i think going with a 3 man tall forward line is a bit top heavy. But yeah i do agree we did run out of puff. But yeah i agree Gault would be our best option for a 2nd ruck/forward compared to witts

That is when we where playing our Best in 2011. The side now is not even close to being as good as the 2011 Side

To make it even better the Crows were up all game and I was with 4 of my mates (all Adelaide fans) and they were giving me plenty all game! Never tasted a victory that sweet! Probably the loudest roar I've heard also in that 4th.

It is a bit top heavy, but Gault and White are pretty athletic plus we still have the forward pressure applied from Blair, Goldsack and Elliott.
