I've got no issue with brining Houston back in on the back of Jaspers poor form. However, can someone please explain to me why he was dropped in the first place? Ken refuses to drop certain players who have had entire average seasons, yet shafts Houston after only one average game.

Ah Chee was stiff and there's probably people you should make an example out of before Pittard.

Nah he wasn't.. ah Chee often runs at a disposal efficiency <50%, turns the ball over, is closer to 25 than 21 and goes missing for long periods of time in a game.

I'm actually fine with the selections. Jasper was in bad form and had a crap attitude on the field. Ah Chee is the biggest confidence player in history who can't play consistently from minute to minute. Toumpas just doesn't have any weapons. Houston in is a good move. (shouldn't have been dropped) Our major problem against Essendon was that they waltzed the ball out of our attack and destroyed us on the counter attack. Young and Neade are our best defensive forwards who are in good form. meh The changes are okay. I'm just miffed that HH is still in the team after that disgusting effort but otherwise...it's reasonably logical.

Whilst I would have preferred another option, Neade has clearly been brought in for his pace and defensive efforts, things we have struggled with in the last fortnight. Who else could fill this role? Atley and Drew are midfielders not defensive forwards, Monfries and AJ are injured and Matt White is borderline retired.

Ah Chee stiff but not surprising. Toumpas... great SANFL player.


Houston is a great in and shouldn't have been dropped. Pittard has been poor and deserved an axing. Hartlett and Hombsch were lucky.

Agreed. And Sam Gray.

We can't fit them all in so I would rather a genuine preasure small forward who is in form rather than trying to get a midfielder without the speed or the tank to play that role.

At least Neade at his best can play that role. Achee at this best is still too slow and doeant have a big enough tank to be a pressure forward. He needs to wait for an inside mid spot to open up and he is behind Boak in the line.
