Hipwood and Hodge or are they just foxing?
They have had an amazing run with injuries this season so far.
Opposition injuries haven't helped us much this year, otherwise, we would've been able to beat Richmond and Fremantle, I don't think we do a very good job at hitting the opposition in their sour spots, but because of how inconsistent the rest of the competition is at the moment there's always a chance that a half-assed team can take on a top-eight side, it's almost a common occurrence in the competition at the moment.

This is also Chris Fagan we're talking about, we'll need to bring our best with or without Hodge and Hipwood to oppose us.

Not overly fussed about Neale. He's doing the exact same thing this year that he's done for 6 or 7 years at Freo. Sure he's a very handy player but he also racks up a lot of junk touches.

I could see Neale getting 20 touches and Brisbane winning as easily as I can see him getting 40 and us beating them.

Can't agree with you here. His hands are unbelievable and he brings other players into the game. If they were junk with Freo they are not with the Lions.

It seems that Boaky will be an in, so I wonder who is out. An interesting situation and I forecast much melting since whoever will be unlucky.

Personally I want SPP to stay. Wish he could kick though.

Those are the players to shut down - the ones who damage with their disposal. I'm far more concerned with what McCluggage or Witherden can do with 15 touches than what Neale can do with 30.

Edit: I should reiterate that I'm not talking down Neale as a player - he's very similar to Rockliff in how he goes about it.

... If Lycett pulls up sore then we’d probs have to give Ryder a game.
I'm not sure, if we expect him to be at least half functional then OK. But he'd been such a non-contributor in his last few games we'd probably be better to suck up losing most of the taps for better performance somewhere else.

I'd rather Cameron kick all of Brisbane's 6 goals while we kick 15.

We had 11 goal scorers last week - when one is locked down there are plenty of others willing and able to score.

We are still getting used to it.

Refreshing to see opposition supporters on here confident after such a barron period
Nah, you listen to something like this and even an opposition team's forum is a better option.

I expect one change and that will be Boak for a very unlucky SPP, whose manager will no doubt be taking calls from clarko as early as tomorrow morning.

The change I would really like to see though is our players targeting Robinson and Cameron with some heavy physical pressure, particularly if the latter tries any more cheap shots on Houston.
How Cameron was allowed to run away from the play and elbow Houston in the face in a showdown, and with virtually zero challenge from any Port player was absolutely f****** pathetic! 👎

What's the forecast? If it rains SPP needs to play, he normally plays well in the wet and i firmly believe if he had played along with Rocky and Westy against the dogs we would've won that game. But we probably would've got complacent and lost the showdown instead.

But who to drop? Some say Butters but he has been playing such a difficult role and doing fairly well in it.

not sure, i'm happy to leave this week for the coaches to decide. it's nice for selection to be difficult, we've been able to rattle off names of players who deserve to be dropped a little too easy at times this year.

Butters? Didn't he do that 3 bounce run-in goal that so taunted the chardonnay swillers? I'm pretty sure it was him, and for that alone he must be bullet proof.

This.

I feel like they are both the types to lose concentration and composure if they come under a targeted campaign from our whole team.
