based on what simmo said tommy is playing their style of game in WAFL so he should fit just fine. dont be suprised to see gov do a terminator style recovery and be back in 2 weeks. tippett is in lots of pain with his fingers. richards is gone for this week. jetta will sweat it out too. I watched the hawks game and was not happy to see what hawks did to swans, almost impossible for them not to react after that embarrassment.they will be hard to beat this week. it will be very close. hope we win.

Barrass must come in. The Gov will be out for a couple of weeks at least and this isn't a great time of the year to do a hammie with finals in another 8 weeks.

Barra has earned a call up, is in good form and we now need him. We don't want him debuting close to or in a final situation.

The Weagles web will help any young inexperienced back man especially a KP back.

Play Schofield in the McGovern role zoning off and put Barra on the second tall forward, Tippett or maybe Goodes if Tippett is out.

Play Sheppard on Franklin and let Schofield and Hurn zone off in front of any leads.

Team defense has worked so far and FFS can we just kick straight this week.

Barrass in is a must ... really looking forward to seeing this guy do his thing. Will be a star.
Also want Nelson in to shore up the defense - he has a bit of height and size, and can take a rotation through the middle if we need Yeo to defend a tall down back. Barrass and Nelson will give us that little more flexibilty.

We had more scoring shots than Hawthorn did this week, considering we also had a 24/8 free kick against us I feel our gameplan stacks up . Considering McGovern missed half the game and any other year we woulda got rolled by collingwood ,crowd, bias umps. Our accuracy let us down . I wouldnt mind if Barrass came in .

watchig footy show in melbourne. they are all saying that with gov out it could spell a losing streak for Eagles. I think that is so far fetched and disrespectful to our boys, its not even funny. we are not a one man team.what a joke!! victorians refuse to give us the respect we have obv gaied now, beating pies and tigers in Melbourne. also, ppl are all emotional about our injury list. you guys serious?? you forgot our last few seasons where we had a full list of 20 on injury lists. this year has been one of the best years in terms of injury for us. Emac and brown on LTIL and Gov who should be back soon. ill be more nervous if i was brown or emac, if tommy turns out to be a gun, then it will be an interesting selection headache for coaching staff next season.

Well, what happens at Sydney this week will certainly have a bearing on how I think we'll go next week. Tippet looked really sore, so if they give him a rest it'll slightly offset the loss of McGovern. And if Richards gets rubbed out as expected, that'll even up the loss of key defenders as well.
But really, with the way Sydney's midfield is playing we can still look to this game with a fair amount of belief.

Gee, our depth is coming along well. Hutchings has worked his way into the side for the last 3 seasons, such a battler and starting to show the worth in keeping all these foot soldiers on the list. Amazing to consider a full list next year with another pre-season into the likes of Gaff, Sheed, Yeo, Duggan, McInnes, Lycett, Nelson etc... We'll have some of the best depth in the comp.

In: Barrass, Butler
Out: McGovern, Selwood for a spin in the 2s.

Barrass is big, athletic and intelligent. The time is now!

I think reshuffle the deck chairs

Schofeild back. And I think let darling roam between half forward and half back and he can go back also

Darling is quick and can mark overhead also

We played a few games this year without darling in our attack

Yeo And shep on Tippett ....schofeilds gets franklin with Hurn in between ....

They key to beating swans is the midfield as Hawks displayed last night ....I think we can do that .....they haven't got pyke .....

Barassment by that far it isn't funny

Out:

McGovern (inj.), Selwood (inj. aka terrible form), possibly Ellis or Hill depending how they pull up.

In:

Barrass, Butler, Lucas (as sub) if Ellis or Hill are too sore.

Barrass isn't a baby - he's a decent size and shouldn't get too monstered on Reid, especially with our current team defense style of play.

My thoughts too. Scooter actually has quite a bit of speed off the mark which helped a couple of 50/50 contests. He didn't set the world on fire but it was an improvement on the last few weeks.
