I’d do Clug for Fort. Play Clug on the outside and use his class and also use the extra mid to match their run.

Likely Clug for Dev.

Or Clug for Zorko

Structurally I can’t fit Dev in easily if clug is back - that’s not to say that I don’t want him in the team but I don’t see Noah being dropped and Ah Chee and Prior are needed to be wing options with clug spending basically all his time inside now.

Even gave the examples of Payne and Fullerton coming in and playing well, but making way for Adams and McStay because those players have runs on the board as senior players over the last 5 seasons.

Not a fan of that mentality. Gives the seniors a thought of invincibility. I get the payne and fullerton selection for the 2 ins but Payne had a case vs Gardiner.

Tbh I think he would have said the same thing if Dev had 30 and 2. Once he reviews the tape they will go with a team they feel will beat Freo. Answerth is not safe and I genuinely don't think Lyons is either. Hell, he could get 'rested'.

If Berry has moved out to play wing permanently then we need the inside bull to shut down the likes of Brayshaw. Dev is that person currently. I'd rest Rich, push Ah Chee or Prior back and play Dev.

Rich hasn't been his assured self for 2+ weeks now, saving him from a trip to perth might freshen him up.

I can't see us dropping JL .Only scenarios are Zorks or Rich rested because both have looked a little proppy at times or Answerth out in a reshuffle. Our wings have been working well since Clug went M/F. Can't see us messing with that unless we put Ah Chee back. But we seem to like pushing Ah Chee forward for periods especially when it's hot. We seem to have committed to Answerth as well this year.

But in normal circumstances you couldn't drop Dev on his form yesterday.

So this is a bit of a dilemma. And impossible to find a spot for T Berry whom I'd love to give a run of games to.

I think JL still has 2 years on his contract. Which is another issue for those who can't get a game at the end of the year.

It's a good position to be in if not frustrating.

If a player is in good form, every chance of being rewarded, as Lohmann was earlier in the year.

Robertson has been very good in the reserves from all reports, and that he was NAMED 3RD BEST for the lions on AFL.com.au, I’m hopeful he retains his spot. I think he can play, and his goal in traffic showed a touch of class and poise.

Thought he played well but would have had him 8-10th best or so for us.
