This aspect of Clarko's track record will make him one of the all time coaching greats IMO. He has been churning out cups and good senior coaches.

Yep, kind of makes me disappointed that Brendan Bolton is almost definitely going to Carlton. He'll probably do a good job there, and it's just funnier when Carlton are terrible.

Well done to Brendan if it happens, very different situation at Carlton though. Wonder if this may turn out to be a Damian Drum replay. Time will tell.

Not sure where the calls over the past few weeks for Murray Newman to get a game have come from, certainly not based on his WAFL form which is modest at best. This is a guy who's played 4 AFL games for 3 goals, 3 years ago and since coming out of gaol has underperformed at the level below. Needs to do way more to even come into calculations.
Maybe but if but if Cripps is no good who comes in as a small forward with pressure. McGinnity can have it as far as I'm concerned. So who comes in next. Duggan:cry:

Should be a cracking game next week. Without sounding disrespectful to NicNat and his horrible family news, I think he'll play this week. LeCras comes back. Does Selwood?

Who goes out for you guys? Lycett, Schofield. Do you guys think Barrass is a definite inclusion?

I think the only change for us that I'm game enough to lock in is Darley will be omitted and Johannissen comes back. After all the talk about us not having a tough draw I can't wait to play you guys. A massive challenge against a great side that's dealt with many injuries superbly this year.

Best of luck, may the best team win and please football gods, no injuries to either team.

I think i can speak for the entire board on this when i say.... "I ****ing hope not"

I wouldn't change much

Lecras in
Nic Nat in

Out Lycett
Out ...Mcginnity

If injuries ....schofeild out ...Barrass in

Sub Hutchings

No way Ginners goes out against the small hard runnings Dogs forwards. Think Cripps might be out for a rest.
If not maybe Bennell who I liked today.

Bennel provides run .....

If Cripps misses ...lecras is handy in ....

I would play Selwood ahead of Mcginnity

Nah no way. Selwood will be too busy eating that bag of dicks I sent him to attend team selection.

Barass comes in for Schofield

LeCras replaces Cripps

Naitanui replaces Lycett

Nelson next in line if there's another sore body we don't know about yet then Lucas

The Doggies had a 4 points win against the Swan in Sydney; bad losses in Adelaide and Tasmania.
Yet to travel to Queensland and WA.
They don't have super-tall forward other than Boyd (VFL).

Who woulda thought after rnd 1 that the WCE/Dogs rematch would be a top 4 clash... Footy is a weird sport.
I went back and watched that game a couple of weeks ago. It is a genuinely blistering game of footy. Serious heat on in tight and the ball was flying around. One of the games of the year in hindsight, and both teams have improved enormously since then.

We beat Gold Coast in qld as well.

Agreed - Lin Jong and Dahlhaus tore us apart. As well as JJ from defence

To get through our zone you need elite speed or elite kicking. You guys and GC have the elite speed down pat - which is how we can get opened up.

I think losing Mitch Brown early in the first quarter in an away game would not help too.

Out: Lycett, Schofield (inj.)*, Cripps (inj.)*, Masto (susp.)*
In: Naitanui*, Barrass, LeCras, Nelson

I think Barrass should play anyway; get some games in before we inevitably need him in the finals. Cripps (if injured) should be a straight swap with LeCras, and Lycett is out for Naitanui regardless, if the big guy is ready to return.

If Cripps isn't injured and Masto gets away with it, an unlucky one of McGinnity, Hutchings or Rosa may lose their spot, solely because Lecca trumps all three regardless of form.

Dogs haven't got the tallest forward line, apart from Boyd and he can't get a game atm. Do you think it would be even worth bringing Barrass in? I think Bennell's pace would be better to have against the small charging dogs forward line.

If Schoey gets up, he has the size and speed to play on any of the Doggies' forwards. Enables Barrass to predominantly play on Crameri, but allows the freedom of Simmo's regular rotation, as Schoey can go "back" when Barrass is off.

I don't know who else the Dogs have who would qualify as a "power"/key forward.
