Appreciate the sentiment but your lot are that far in front it's not even funny.

Your mids - lead by superstar Nat Fyfe - will tear us to absolute shreds.

Hope to be competitive if nothing else.

That wasn't the case last year and IMO the gap is a fair bit closer now, I reckon we'll get up by 2-4 goals but not much more. The midfield effort against Geelong is very unlikely to be repeated two weeks in a row and if WC can keep Pav and Walters in check I can't see where too many goals will come from for us. Will be a good opportunity for Taberner to create a mismatch or two though with your decimated defence.

I hope Clarke pulls up well too, Sandi/Clarke vs Nic Nat/Lycett should be a real highlight of the game. Will be important for both teams to get a couple goals or so from the ruck division.

I fear our mids will be monstered. It will be a 40 to 50 point belting.

Our defence doesn't have the steel to hold you. I just hope we can get some game time into our young kids and hope they perform well.

Good luck.

I just don't think the gulf of class apparent on paper will reflect the narrative of the game, I think in the last few years your mids have actually competed pretty well with ours and in no small part due to your strong rucks. Have performed better than midfields of more glamorous teams anyway, teams like Richmond, North and Collingwood come to mind.

Is Duggan likely to start this week out of interest?

Another sub I think, he only had about 15 minutes so I would suggest no. Hoping Lamb can go for a run tho.

Is it just me or does Hurn sound a bit nonsensical at times at his conferences?

"I just think over the years (our) players have matured more," Hurn said.

Players have matured more than what? Opposition players? Everyday mortal humans? African Elephants ? Semi-matured cheese?

"We understand about the game. It's been about contested ball, how you use it, decision-making. Every team does that. We've been fortunate to play against the Western Bulldogs, and Carlton was pretty good there for a period."

Understand about the game? Somebody set up us the bomb?

Scott Selwood's lingering ankle problem also has him in doubt for the Derby.

"His ankle was just a bit sore," Hurn said.

"He'll be monitored this week. Hopefully he'll get up. If not, hopefully he's only a couple of weeks after that."

So you're pretty hopeful he'll play this week coz it was just a bit sore, but your next best case scenario is a further two weeks after that? Huh?

Youngster Simon Tunbridge also injured his ankle after an impressive three-quarter showing against the Blues. He was subbed out just before three-quarter-time last Friday night and is in doubt to recover in time for this week.

"I don't think it's great," Hurn said. "I think it's just going to be a rolled ankle, hopefully."

So you don't think it's great, which in Footballer terms means a few weeks off. But you hope it's going to only be a rolled ankle, having just said it's not great.

I... see.

Clear as mud Shannon, clear as mud.

Selwood can **** off. If they/he rush him back in underdone again i'll be furious. How many times can they make the same mistake? Just leave him out. It's hurting his trade value with him hobbling around like a banana and only being able to tag for a quarter or a half.

Mcginnity is the one who should tag Hill. Sharron/Rosa should go to Fyfe, not that i think it really matters as he'll hulk up and break the tag at some point.

I just hope Simmo realizes that we can't possibly win this if we just go in with the same tactic and matchups as usual. They are a top 4 team and we're bottom 8 and have been for years. The talent on their list is evidently better, so he needs to try something different then just letting our usual bland midfield go head to head with their talented crop. Something DIFFERENT Simmo.

At least Shuey won't have Crowley holding his pocket this weekend. That hasn't happened since 2012.

Even with their rediculous beards and man buns? **** me! If thats the case, the ladies have really lost it!

They never had it when it comes to this area of their life DTF. Ive seen some of the most intelligent, successful women in the world make the stupidest decisions constantly when it comes to guys. Put it this way, Charles Manson who is about 70, is in gaol, and murdered 9 people just got married to a 25 year old attractive woman..

And Emma Watson isn't currently dating me either. Crazy the lot of them amirite?

Hutchings and Sinclair likely to return to the WAFL this week , (Nick Rynne The West ) .

Good improvement in playing stocks if they return successfully .

Are they the only two mentioned?

Hopefully Waterman, Powell, Butler, Ellis and Main are all available for selection (although Ellis and Butler may play for West Coast).

Yes only two mentioned .

Also said that Ellis was held back from the Skills session and just walked laps .

Selwood was not on the track at the open session but Eagles coach Adam Simpson told seven news last night the midfielder had trained earlier in the day and remained a chance of lining up against Fremantle .
