His goals against Port in Adelaide hardly junk time.
The goal in wet vs Gold Coast early before the game had broken open hardly junk time.
The almost chase down of Steven Hill when no other Eagle was going vs Fremantle. That's supporting your teammates.

He has had one bad game this year. The hate for him is crazy.
Agreed! This year his pressure and running have been enormous and he has kicked goals as a bonus. He is inconsistent tho' and lives on the edge of selection according to who is pushing for his spot.

at some point simpson is going to have make the hard call on players like rosa and selwood

he seems like the passive type, hope he has it in him

if not, it will ultimately cost him his job
I've noticed that you're around a lot more after a loss.

Yeah right. The hardest position to play is a key forward. Kennedy is one of the best and you want to make him into a half back flanke...which, by the way, is one of the easiest positions to play. You're right, it does sound crazy...probably because it is,.

I was definitely not agreeing with the idea...

Passive I think not. Don't mix up the lack of Brad Scott antics to being passive.

Talk about Simpson losing his job are ludicrous.

No change

Really can't see any harm in Darling spending another week in the wafl earning form and fitness. Still a long way to go. Plus McInnes no superstar but forfilling his roll for now.

Nelson does a good lock down job down back, doesn't get a lot of the footy but mostly does ok with it when he does. As happy as I am with 3rd for now still not sure we're premiership material this year, give the kid a chance. Also not sure Ellis has the defencive focus that Nelson provides, so not sure they are competing for the same role. For now Sheppard and Wellingham doing a good job of providing the run and transition from the backline that Ellis might give us.

That will do for now, cheers

Sorry Jack but I'm now in love with Duggan.

I didn't say that did I. I simply commented on your post that he was "miles away". If, for example Hill or Cripps was injured I would have no problem in bringing Newman in to replace them. Your comment stated that he was not up to it. I simply said he was close and should it be necessary he could do it..I do think however I hope that would not occur and if it did, it wouldn't happen for a week or two so Newman could regain some more touch. Shhheessh!
He is miles away. As I said, I hope he gets there (and I think he may well), but one decent game from a rookie listed player coming back from injury doesn't put him in line for selection.

And if one one of Cripps or Hill went down there would be several guys in front in the queue at this stage.

Drop Hill? Drop Sinclair? Mcinnes and Sinclair to the backline? Darling to the backline? Kennedy to the back flank? Mcginnity to ruck?

Howbout everyone just settles the **** down. We're 3rd on the ladder, anyone wanting to change a winning formula on a whim needs a backhand.

There are 2 changes which need to happen. Darling and Ellis for Mcinnes and Nelly, plus one change which SHOULD happen but it won't. Selwood.

Actually no. Sheed is in his second year playing in terrible conditions, coming on as a sub in the last quarter under pressure with the wind a big factor and the ball went out on the full. Your idol, Priddis, an experienced player makes multiple errors under no pressure and you won't look at criticism of him. Different strokes obviously
Apparently he's actually putting his genius on display when he misses a target.
I think Sheed however did his best under the conditions, I mean it's not like the rest of the team lowered their eyes too often in that last quarter either. I reckon they thought they were going to roll over the top of North with the breeze at their backs and when it didn't happen straight away they panicked and reverted to bombing long.

Those two were especially hilarious. How can any sensible person suggest that?

For the first time this season we have no forced changes (that we're aware of at least) so any changes need to improve the side.

Darling for McInness is inevitable in time but the question is whether 1 game in the WAFL is sufficient preparation after what has been an extended layoff. Like most I have my doubts but I think the club believes otherwise - Jack will be back this week.

Lycett is a better footballer than Sinclair but Sinkers is playing better at the moment - either Lycett steps up significantly in the WAFL to demand reselection or Sinclairs form deteriorates or both before that change is made. For the time being Sinclair deserves his spot

Ellis when fully fit is probably best 22 ahead of Nelson but his comments in the press indicate he doesn't consider himself ready yet so he'll play for East Perth again this weekend and Nelson plays another game in the seniors

Benell isn't better than any in the 22 on form right now and after being the travelling emergency after consecutive weeks of being subbed out he needs a full run in the WAFL

Colledge and Hutchings aren't best 22 either so they play WAFL. Rosa if he plays needs to come back through the WAFL. Lucas isn't good enough and Newman needs time to prove himself at WAFL level consistently before he's even in the frame for a callup. If Barass was going to come in as a third tall they would have done it already so won't come in against essendon

Among the incumbents in the side, Selwood was poor on the weekend but was decent against Geelong so he'll keep his spot no matter how hard some here might wish for him to be omitted. Hill has had an excellent year to date so he'll survive one bad game as will Cripps. Duggan might need a rest but I suspect that'll be as sub before he goes back to WAFL - doubt he'll play for East Perth again actually. Sheed will get a full game this week.

So Jack for Mac will be the only change with shred handing the green vest to duggle

start the first bounce down with nicnat, darling, shuey and priddis and just have nic and darling told to monster a bloke each after the banner we hold up says Essendon - Not even worthy of our Boos.

Based on what, the blokes had virtually no chance to show what he can do, would love to see him get a run at Subi and recon this weekend would be a great time for it to happen.

Not exactly lighting it up at WAFL level. Was decent as the sub but like Keys said, any changes would have to be definitively improving the team at this point, and I think it's pretty hard to argue his WAFL form/our mids' form warrants someone losing a game over it. As it is one of Sheed, Duggan (and maybe Selwood?) are mids who are possible sub choices each week, don't think Colledge has done enough to demand inclusion in that group.
