i really see no long term benefit for dropping ah chee after one quiet game. it does no good at all, what? "oh you need to go back to work on some things"? are you bloody serious ken if so? leave him in to garner more experience & get further afl ready for next year. if we can go into '16 with the arch in prime condition & ready to make a real impact on the comp playing & starting in the middle, it'll be such a massive tick for us finding that next inside mid. we may not think it but these next 7 games are crucial for that boy's development.
Yea I wouldn't drop him thought he was played out of position a bit last week too, he's a freakin' inside mid why play him anywhere else... we all scream the need to blood young players but now ppl want him dropped after 1 bad game when he's been quite impressive in his first 6 games.

Because continuing to play 28yo Paul Stewart as an undersized tall forward in a 6-9 team that cannot make finals isn't laughable?

We should be giving one of Butcher or Harvey the next 4-6 games without consequence.
Yep.
I get the feeling that Kern is one stubborn mother.

I agree guys

Gotta give Harvey the rest of the season to prove himself

Butch is not the future

Stewart is not the future

Schulz (whilst he should retain his position at the moment) is not the future

Does Kern have the balls ?

What I would do:
Stewart - White, if not fit - Palmer. Pleeeease not Gray.
O'Shea - Jasper
Ah Chee sub

Unlike most on here I could live with Jonas for Clurey. Don't feel strongly either way.

Arch needs another opportunity with full game. one good, one bad one ?

What is the local pub near Etihad that everyone goes to for a brewski?

I think TAC are having their pre-match festivities at the Royal Melbourne Hotel, which is on Bourke st about a 2 minute walk from Southern Cross Station. Alternatively there are a number of pubs on Victoria Harbour (Harbour Esplanade) such as Cargo and the Woolshed which are ok for a drink. The closest pub to the ground is the Nixon Hotel. It's on Bourke st but you have to walk to the stadium first, as it's on the far end of Bourke past Southern Cross, bout a 50 metre walk up a flight of stairs to gate 1 of Etihad from there.

That being said, if I threw a stone out of my apartment window it would land somewhere on the field, so my drinks will be from there! :)

id suggest that ight be the last we see of stewart barring injuries. Just didnt quite make it as a player. Id try trade him.

bit disappointed that the trigger wasnt pulled on lobbe. ive seen other players this year get dropped for playing worse

You think we'd get anything for Stewart? Highly highly doubtful. Maybe a pick in the 80s if a club was desperate.

Selection wise, it looks like this week we've just brought in a bunch of runners to cope with the Etihad fast track. Hoping for a good game.

on a side note, Giles has NOT been named for Essendon.
like, WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING?

Edit: That may be a good thing because it could allow Lobbe to get some form back.... lol who am i kidding:drunk:;):p

Would of kept Arch in and continue to blood him, hope it doesn't zap his confidence

I'm far from a Butcher apologist but I find it ironic that Lobbe keeps his spot in the side because of "structure" but apparently having another key forward isn't necessary...

Well by this stage it's pretty clear. Our structure doesn't include another key forward.
