Ah, there you go! 2.30 pm here, FWIW!Queensland
It might take some time for the AFL boys to cohese with the VFL boys as they don't train together.Ah, there you go! 2.30 pm here, FWIW!
I'm looking forward to it, and am probably more enthused about watching the earlier game and seeing how our young prospects look rather than watching the main game (but hoping for two wins).
I totally get that angle and giving them all another shot will no doubt be a strong consideration. My only concern around backing guys in is that the season can drift quickly if we drop too many of these upcoming 50/50 or 40/60 games. Realistically drop all 3 and it’s hard to see where the wins are coming from outside of Carlton and Essendon until the mid point of the season.I wouldn't pick West this week, and I just doubt that the club will either. I still want to see him kicking goals in a VFL game or two this year before we consider playing him, but also really want to see Buller come good, as it will be a bit of a setback if he doesn't measure up. I think if Membrey ends up going out of the side (at some stage) that won't be the end of the world, but Buller and McStay performing well enough is important.

hard to do that when he hasnt played since ballarat and they made him the carry over emg for the crows game.I still want to see him kicking goals in a VFL game or two this year before we consider playing him
They do. They do the same drills at training.I hope the VFL boys are being trained with the same system.
You'd bloody hope so wouldn't you? They do. They do the same drills at training.
Same game plan. Been like this for a number of years.

You would. You'd bloody hope so wouldn't you?![]()
It's kind of unfathomable they could have ever thought it wasn't important for both AFL & VFL teams to have the same game plan. You would.
But it hasn't always been the case, I don't think. More so when Fly took over.
Absolutely not his fault, but it's the reason why I don't think he'll be playing seniors this week. Arguably having him as the carry over emergency for the Adelaide game did him no favours at all.hard to do that when he hasnt played since ballarat and they made him the carry over emg for the crows game.
A week break in between vfl practice games didn't help. This is not his fault though, so not much he could have done.
I agree, it likely wont happen. But hopefully wont be too long before we do see him on the big stage again. And not sure we need him to play his second game at marvel the same place he did his foot injury last year.Absolutely not his fault, but it's the reason why I don't think he'll be playing seniors this week. Arguably having him as the carry over emergency for the Adelaide game did him no favours at all. Bringing him straight into the team for Friday night just doesn't seem like the kind of move McRae would make, and would be at odds with his "setting people up to succeed" idea.

Who said that? I thought Cadman is out for another fortnight and Daniels is still 1 to 2 weeks away...Cadman, Daniels and Bedford all due back
Well of course.Cadman, Daniels and Bedford all due back

Kingers said they could all return this week in his presserView attachment 2559610
This was just last weeks injury list, so l doubt they return....
Could. Unless they think their seasons on the line. Which apparently ours is , i cant see how they risk three players at once, especially two with hamstring concernsKingers said they could all return this week in his presser
There is zero chance they’ll risk Daniels after his injury run lately. Save him until after the bye next week.Could. Unless they think their seasons on the line. Which apparently ours is , i cant see how they risk three players at once, especially two with hamstring concerns
We need to start rotating some of our kids in and see what we have. Why does West deserve 10 games in a row but not Buller ?
The injury-hit Giants are hoping Aaron Cadman (pelvis), Brent Daniels(hamstring) and Toby BedfordPLAYERCARDSTART16Brent Daniels

However, they will be without defender Jack Buckley after he suffered a concussion late in their loss to St Kilda.

"Daniels is every chance, as is Aaron Cadman so we'll assess those as they get later on in the week, probably Wednesday night, maybe Thursday morning, but hopeful."
Not until Buller and the current setup has had time to gel IMO.We need to start rotating some of our kids in and see what we have.
Seeing us at full strength and GWS with so many injuries makes me sooooo much more nervous about this game lol
Especially at Marvel
