7 tackles for Cameron probably swung the balance his way over Petruccelle.

For all his pace, it’s surprising Petruccelle doesn’t rack up more. Plenty of time for him to improve it, and Ryan has shown it’s a part of the game that can be developed,

Do we know who the travelling emergency is? (sorry if answered in the tweets, can't see them at work!)

So I guess it’s...

In: Nic Nat, Rioli
Out: Gov, Petch

Allen to defence.

FF: Rioli Kennedy Cameron
HF: Cripps Darling Ryan
C: Gaff Redden Sheed
HB: Shep Allen Hurn
FB: Duggan Schofield Jetta

R: Naitanui Shuey Yeo
I/C: Hickey Masten Hutchings Nelson
I don't rate Allen in defence. Am I wrong?

He looked a little lost early against Melbourne but got better and better as the game wore on.He is such an intelligent footballer he will be good anywhere. He is one of those guys who goes into a contest with a plan 'B'.He was quite competitive as a ruckman. Not bad for a kid!!

He kicked 2.2. Cameron kicked 2 as well, layed 6 more tackles than Petch, so Rioli coming back in hence why Cameron stays.
Petch on track to play a lot of league football this year. Like giving Cameron another game as he played well. If Cameron gets dropped after this week, and doesn’t return this year he’ll be primed for a big offseason and bring back next year

Petch needs WAFL time to improve to huge weaknesses in his game:
tackling (as in, getting the guy to the ground)
kicking (sprays constantly on the run and set shots) - snapping seems fine

Cameron showed none of those weaknesses. Still, it was his debut game, never know, he could have a shocker this round. I pray not. Love his tackling pressure and skill, for a chicken-arm fella he's a beast! That NRL background is a winner for me as a former rugby boy myself. Reckon they should do ARU / NRL camps for the boys to nail tackles better.

Just don't tackle anyone smaller than you though, Christian is waiting for you...

Ironic that a 20 year old averages more tackles then a 30 year old in Masten yet the 20 year old gets dropped so he can improve his game while the 30 year old gets a free pass.

No argument there. I reckon Masten is an average player. He seems to be the gap filler we sometimes need. Petch clearly oodles of talent more than M.

Yeah Masten gets a free pass and Petch is unfairly treated! Provided we ignore the fact Masten was dropped for several games and Petch has played every game of the year up to this point.

Petch has to earn his place. Pity other players don't have the same requirement.

Masten only got dropped because he was injured. Suffice to say its going to take another 2 months of poor performances before he is dropped (injured?) again.

And all 4 kick more goals and have more tackling pressure then Masten. Not to mention younger as well.

But yet we persist.

Noted forward pocket Chris Masten.

Playing 13 games straight in your second season is a fine effort, and to be quite honest Petruccelle has been a benefactor of injuries/suspensions throughout pretty much this entire run.

Cripps missed rounds 1 and 2
Rioli missed rounds 1-8 and 14
Venables missed rounds 3,4,5,10,11,12 and 14

Round 9 was the only time we played 5 small forwards (Ryan, Rioli, Petruccelle, Cripps and Venables) all at once.

Should be good opportunities to get back into the team in the next few rounds if he knuckles down at the Beagles.

Petch is our 4th highest goal scorer for the year. Ryan has had a good season but hasn't hit the scoreboard as much as he should.

MC must think he just needs a break to work on a few things. Hope he can smash it at WAFL level and get back in quickly as it is great watching him burn off his opponents
