Changes Vs Melbourne

Out - Edwards Schulz Graham Tambling King Bowden
IN - Coughlan Cousins Cotchin Raines Patto Thursfield

Outs:
Bowden the game passes you by quickly when you're slowing down. Thanks for you time but we have to move on.
King love your attack on the ball and the man but turns it over way too much to be an AFL level footballer.
Hislop again, great attack at the man and the ball but poor disposal is a killer.
Edwards been horrible last 2 weeks. Go back to Coburg and dominate there for a month and then try again.
Tambling 77 games in and is no better than he was in his first season. Tackles are broken too easy, confidence is shot. Needs to go back to Coburg and be played in the guts for the whole game.

Ins:
Thursfield not sure he deserved to be dropped after round 1. Bring him in to play KP and let Moore play as a rebounding defender alongside Rance.
JON has apparently been playing quite well for Coburg. Deserves a final crack at it may as well find out now if he wants to make it or not.
Collins looked alright in a couple of NAB games he was given, may as well give the kid a crack.
Coughlan adds a bit of grunt to the midfield and might actually raise the spirits of not only the supporters but the players as well.
Thomson another one who can add some grunt to our midfield. If he is fit he has to come in otherswise it is another wasted trade.

While I realise McMahon got 41 yesterday he should have to back up before getting another crack. The only problem is we all know he will come back in this week. That is why I put Collins in italics as that spot will probably go to McMahon.

Outs: King,Tambling,Bowden,Shultz,Edwards,Graham, Jackson
Ins: Collins,Thomson, coughlin, pattison, JON, Nahas, Thursfield

6 changes which is alot and i doubt all will happen, but the players listed above in the Outs have consistanly been inconsistant.

We still have a few to come back from injury Raines, Cotchin, Cousins, Cogs, which IMO are all in our best 22.

Out: Tambling, Edwards, Schulz, King, Graham, Moore
In: Coughlan, Collins, Thursfield, Pattison, Nahas, Thomson

Simmonds is on his last chance, and being realistic i'm only leaving him in because of Melbourne's weak ruck stocks.

Out - King, Edwards, Schulz, Hislop, Graham (If Pattos Fit), Tambling, Bowden

In - Coughlan, Collins, Nahas, Patto (If Fit), Hughes, Connors, Jon

Total clean out of that disgraceful side

JON may be a good inclusion with a lead up half forward role likes hes been doing in the VFL

Mcmahon doesnt deserve a spot quite yet but apparently he played alright on Sunday so they will probably put him in anyway

Agree with all of your outs bar Bowden.

I'd like to see Cogs, Collins, JON, Connors and Thursfield into the side.

agree, nothing wrong with Bowden's game apart from being pinged once that didnt cost much.

think a lot of people need to look at the replay because they dont watch the game. moore wasnt that good and thursfield can come in for moore if anything.

where bringing in players who are just as bad as others, except patto and coughlan.

i think...

Out: Bowden, King, Edwards, Hislop, Shultz, Graham
In: Thursfield, Coughlan, Collins, Nahas, Hughes, Patto

we need cotchin to take tamblings spot but till then i guess hes not worse than any of those going out... Vickery will take Hughes spot when ready.

In essense we have 4 spots in our 22 who are filled by shockers ( Patto and Coughlan not included)

Next years draft we gotta get 2 half backs who can kick and tackle(e.g newman) and 2 indigenous small forwards.

Are you serious about keeping tambling in the side??

OUT - N Brown, Tambling, Edwards, Graham, Hislop

IN - Coggs, Thursfield, Nahas, Patto, Post

Won't happen...but Coaches with big balls would swing the axe.....Will Terry?

OUT

Edwards - lacked poise and his disposal was shocking, even in the warm up.
Tambling - has to be dropped after today's effort.
King - shit.

IN
Coughlan - looked good in the 2's from all reports, time has come.
Thursfield - team balance.
McMahon - he's in my SuperCoach.

OUT-Tambo, King

In-Cogs, McMahon

I agree McMahon shouldnt ever play senior footy, Raines should slot back in when ready.

If Tambo is going to continue to be a spud, play Cogs who has a much better upside then Tambo with match fitness....Might as well use him now.

Just indigenous or will any small forward do who can read the game and kick goals?

leigh matthews - premiership coach

Vickery - Good game against the dees to get a future prospect a good taste of senior football.

.

from coburg ressies to seniors in afl huh, wish i could see it kid but no cigar im afraid, Vickers will be lucky to crack it for a call up this year from what Ive seen of him, unfortunately

Out: Edwards, King, Gus, Schulz.
In: Collins, Coughlan, Patto and Hughes.

Explains themselves really. Hislop also might in trouble from one of Thomson/Nahas/JON:eek:

OUT:
Edwards (not enough)
King (a waste of time)
Hislop (Simply didn't do enough)
Tambling (let him catch up on sleep. But seriously, did nothing to hold his spot, a disgraceful effort.)
Bowden (To be quite honest, I'm sick of him and his brain fades)

IN:
Collins (knocking on the door, time to let him in)
Coughlan (No point making excuses for not putting him in, we need him)
Nahas (Looked like he was getting into the game in the second half on the Cats game, needs another chance)
JON (Will give 100% and we need to see what he can do in his new position, and has earned a chance)
McMahon (Yes, McMahon. It was obvious today we had no avenue out of the backline and we missed him. A million miles ahead of King)

Scores well with the cheap kicks around half back. Plus he's a better user of it than you think. Cbf arguing about that though.
Hmm, wonder why his price is pretty shit for a player that amasses so many cheap kicks then? Perhaps its to do with having the highest number of clangers at the club last year. I'd understand dreamteam but for supercoach bad call. Very bad call.

GTF is just a clown, has NFI. Exactly why he's sitting 25th in the tipping comp and I'm sitting in 4th. No knowledge of football whatsoever. :thumbsu:

The fact I haven't even opened up the BigFooty tipping page may have something to do with it. Well done for being 4th btw. Massive achievement mate.

Beave his low price was one of the reasons I got him. Was hoping for a lift in disposal efficiency and instead he got dropped for me.

Did you pick him expecting him to improve? It is a shit decision if you think that because no way in hell can he improve.

On the flip side if you picked him because you could afford him without understanding the need for those cheaper players to improve then expect a very ordinary result indeed in supercoach. It's all about improving players and stars. No inbetweeners.

Out:
Tambling: cannot seriously be picked after that (non)effort.
King: Tries hard but his turnovers kill us. Lacks fundamental football knowledge.
Hislop: Has to do a lot more to deserve a spot.
Bowden: Needs to retire now! Not the future. And not performing.
Graham: I would have persisted with Browne. Has more upside than Gus.
Edwards: Doesn't know his position and is confused by this. Needs to find his feet in the magoos.

Ins:
Coggs: we need to see if he can still do it or he gets delisted at the end of the year. Cannot carry him for much longer.
JON: Needs to be rewarded for two good games in the seconds.
Nahas: a bit rough dropping him after one poor game (on that basis the entire team would be dropped this week) and kicked five in the 2's. At this stage better prospect than Hislop and much faster.
Thompson: Just tell him to handball it to advantage. This will take his major flaw (kicking) out of the discussion. Like Coggs a ball magnet. Put them both in the guts.
Browne: see Gus above.
Collins: At least it will give TigerTroy a hardon. he also has good scope for improvement.

Would have chosen Connors if he was in any form, Cuz if he was fit; Cotchin if he was fit; Hughes if he had both fitness and heart.

We played our best football last year with Steamer, Jack and Morton left on their own in the forward 50. Add Brown and Nahas with Richo drifting from the wing and you have scoring potential.

Need to get back to basics. No short passing as they don't have the skill. Long kicks quickly into the forward line so as not to allow flooding back. Mids and forwards must put defensive pressure on opposition to allow backs a chance.

If these things are not done and we lose to Melbourne, get Hardwick to coach with Sheedy as his mentor.

At least he will tell the board like it is and wont spin it like TW.
