In - Yeo
Out - Colledge

Nelson very unlucky to wear the sub's vest this week.

Think we'll be too tall if we take Bennell out and he'll match up reasonably well on Thomas.

I hope Atley is out as he's the only 2010 draftee to have played more games than Gaff. Darling used to have them both covered.
Gaff, Darling, Lycett, Brennan and McGovern as a rookie pick, plus gained Cripps later vs Atley, Kieran Harper, Cam Delaney, Ben Mabon, Cam Pederson, Aaron Mullet

I don't think that draft should be of concern to us.

I'd love for us to take a risk and drop Sinclair and go with Barrass. McInness and McGovern to back Naitanui up in the ruck

FB - Bennell - Schoefield - Butler
HB - Hurn - Barrass - Wellingham
C - Gaff - Priddis - Masten
HF - Lecras - McGovern - Duggan
FF - Hill - Kennedy - Cripps

R - Naitanui - Yeo - Shuey

I - Shep, McInness, S Selwood

S - Nelson

In a world where team achievements are vastly overrated (flags? pffft), we must cling to these minor personal milestones.

Gaffy is also 3rd on the list of current most consecutive games played! Time to rest the Petrie dish methinks.

I know Simmo is trying to stand up for his players, but the unavoidable fact is that NicNat simply doesn't hold enough of his marking opportunities inside 50. If anything, he's probably regressed in that department since 2011-12. Instead of going on the defensive, he should have said something more constructive like "the challenge for Nic is to do that on a more regular basis".
Took 2 contested marks in the forward 50 on Sunday. if you even watch the game you will find he hardly was in a position to mark the ball. He actually spends a lot of time off the ground to save him for what he is best at, being a beast around the ball and dominating the centre clearances.

Brown (knee) season
Mackenzie (knee) season
Tunbridge (ankle) season
McGinnity (wrist) 4-6 weeks
Lamb (knee) 3 weeks
Cavka (foot) test
Darling (foot) test
Hutchings (back) test
Main (back) test
Rosa (hamstring) test
Sheed (hand) test
Newman (hand) test

With Ellis playing WAFL on the weekend that is some talent to come in...good times ahead!

Tunbridge for the season? That escalated quickly.

Is getting his shoulder fixed at the same time as his ankle so that will keep him out for the year.
Gawn.

Didn't realise McGinnity got injured too. Damn, what a shame.

inb4 dats not nice

Fair enough. Would probably suggest we are planning on keeping him (over him playing with an injury in an attempt to save his career). I kinda hope we do- he looked like he turned the corner in his last game.

Some people simply won't understand this Belltower, so I gave up years ago.....

If Yeo is the only one to come in I think it's pretty easy - Bennell goes out and Colledge (or Duggan) is sub.

If one of Rosa/Sheed is fit you'd think they'd come in for Colledge - them or Duggan to be sub.

If both of Rosa/Sheed are fit it becomes a tough choice. You'd think they'd keep Duggan in the 22 and give one of Sheed Rosa in the WAFL. That or play Rosa on a HBF and drop Nelson. I think they will keep Nelson to play on Thomas though.

Given Rosa's history (i.e. his whole life) of breaking down as soon as possible after returning from soft tissue injuries, surely they'll give him managed minutes in the WAFL...?

Wouldn't be surprised to see Sheed come straight back in as sub, he should be pretty fresh compared to the rest coming back from injury. Or maybe he comes straight back in and Duggan/Selwood get managed: Duggan after his knock, Scooter having limited TOG this year.

Main has had a back issue off-and-on all year, but is starting to get on top of it and with a full week on the track will resume for the Royals this weekend.

Unfortunately, it is never all blue sky out of the medical room and tough utility player Pat McGinnity suffered a fractured wrist in the closing minutes of the game against West Perth yesterday.

Arguably best on ground in that 48-point victory, he has been outstanding for the Royals and would likely have had a strong argument for a recall against North Melbourne in Hobart.

And another of the West Coast hard nuts, Simon Tunbridge, will miss the rest of the season. After initially hurting an ankle in the round two victory against Carlton it has been decided that there is also a need for shoulder surgery.
