yep. I really don't rate hutchings at all. Poor man's priddis, which isn't great.

just pump games into sheed imo.
Hutchings was used wrong in that game IMO. Had little effect and is probably only depth, but I think he's probably the player you'd end up subbing out of the game rather than into.

Exactly! Hutchings as the sub? Either way he shouldnt be in the following game as the team is fairly healthy.

Not sure Simmo really has a clue on who to use as the sub tbh...but it should definitely not be Sheed or Hutch

At what point does the new coaching staff start planning for their tenure and playing the kids? At the moment they are running pretty much the same crew as Woosha did. There's Colledge, McInness, Tunbridge, Sheed, Carter, Karpany, Main, Wilson all waiting for their opportunity...

I was opposed to Hill's inclusion this week, but I thought he was one of our best forwards. Kennedy and Darling were both thoroughly beaten. I thought Darling was at his best when he was on the ball early in the game. LeCras has to come back obviously.

In: LeCras
Out: Hutchings

Hill to sub.

Agreed. Darling did reasonably well up the ground, but he's just not clean enough. Trouble with Hill is that Cripps was excellent as well...

Any chance we would forego playing 2 rucks and have Cripps, Hill and Lecca play together? I'm not sure Hill makes a great sub, I'd pick Cripps as sub over him.

I also wonder if we should be using our sub a bit earlier, say in early Q3. We don't really seem to have any high-impact players (who wouldn't play the full game anyway), so perhaps we should just use it to keep our midfield fresh?

We already know what will happen regardless of the changes. We'll let them kick 2-4 early goals, peg the lead back before quarter time, we'll be on top for the 2nd quarter but will only be up by 2-3 goals, the same will happen in the 3rd but they'll peg the lead back while we kick 1.8, then they'll run over us in the last quarter, dominate inside 50s and win by 3 goals.

Or Naitanui will win it after the siren. Either/or.

In: LeCras (tackle don't bump FFS), Schofield
Out: Hill, Hutchings

B: Glass, MacKenzie, Bennell
HB: Hurn, Brown, Ellis
C: Rosa, Priddis, Gaff
HF: Wellingham, Darling, LeCras
F: Cox, Kennedy, Cripps
R: Naitanui, Shuey, Selwood
I: Masten, Sheppard, Yeo
S: Schofield
E: Hill, Hutchings, Lycett

Hill wasn't bad, but wasn't good enough to hold his spot.

Hutchings is a terrible choice as sub. If there's no place for him in the 21 then out he goes. If Masten is injured then he gets a reprieve.

This. Absolutely this

Don't mind the suggestion of lecras in, hutchings out, hill sub.
Hill much better option as sub on paper - can mark, decent pace, doesn't mind a run down tackle, loves a goal - only concern is he would be almost as likely to not touch the ball as light up when he comes on....
