If they're keen to play Nelson as a tagger he can chop out with Hutch if it gets too hard. Frees Hutch up to (hopefully) be a bull and maybe snag some goals like he tends to. One of those weeks where I think I'll be happy for any changes that are made, there's a lot of ways to go with more fit players than normal.

NM have big mids, they might want Redden in to tackle/block and add some grunt, which is hat he's meant to be doing.

A young player is well served by learning to tag

You learn the running patterns of the elite mids

You get drawn to the ball so you'll get a few touches also. It also builds confidence and gut running ability

The elite mids will keep running and running and your fitness will get tested ...

Are we going to run a book on how many tackles Cunnington, Ziebel and Swallow walk out of this week?

Should be some interest in the Thomas/Shuey High Tackle comparison too!
Can't wait to see Gaff bring down Cunnington a la Kerr vs Gehrig :drunk:

Makes sense

Sooooo many teams on 10 wins. This week is massive. Favourites with the bookies. Doesn't guarantee a win obviously. Just home ground tipping it our way.

Big game this one. Feels like a final, l hope it's not a repeat of last years prelim. That was shit

Yeah I liked the 2012 elimination final better

Do you guys still have Brad Scott week?

scott-1.gif

Can't get enough of Braddles!

These guys will start:

Butler Schofield Hurn
Sheppard ? Wellingham
Masten Priddis Gaff
? Darling ?
Cripps Kennedy LeCras

Lycett Yeo Shuey

Leaves 7 spots:
- Gov will play. So that's 1
- need two tall defenders. If gov is back its one of Barrass or Mackenzie. Think gov stays back and Barrass stays. That's 2.
- need a ruck/forward. Either Giles, brown or gov. Think they will give brown another week but ruck gov a bit. That's 3.
- that leaves 4 spots for Hutchings, McGinnity, Hill, Jetta, Nelson, Redden and Duggan.
- think Hutchings, McGinnity and Nelson stay. Other 4 vying for a spot. Think they may persist with Jetta and keep hill out.

Out : Butler Brown
In : McKenzie Redden

Hurn Barrass Schofield
Wellingham McKenzie Shep
Jetta Priddis Gaff
Masten McGovern Cripps
LeCras Kennedy Darling

Foll : Lycett Shuey Redden

Bench : Nelson Mcginnity Yeo Hutchings
Emrg : Butler Brown Duggan

Gov to give a chop out in the ruck and relief in the back line.
Love the contested capabilities of the bench.

On the North board a poster said he heard on SEN Wells will not be playing. A big loss for them and one i see cutting us up.

If it rains i hope we drop a tall ( Brown) and make sure we have an extra mid ( Redden or Duggan..though i would go with Redden). Lycett , Gov and Yeo should be fine to help out.
