Can't believe we are going into a season defining match with a top 4 quality side with BROWN AND ****ING PADDY in the squad!

Jetta is only getting a game because having vision of him on the news in an East Perth guernsey embarrasses the recruitment team.

Yep agree with this.

I can not imagine Simmo going: " All right lads this year hasn't planed out as i hoped and we are 1 win from second spot and sitting at 8th...so i think its time to throw this year out and try something different" A good coach will sort the season as it goes and this will be a test for Simmo to see if he can sort the year out or if not see how we bounce back this year. End of the day if we didn't have our last 1/4 fade out v the Adelaide and had won that close game v the Bulldogs we would be close top 4 if not top 2.
Yes that Adelaide game was the final kick in the guts for me.When its easy everyone fires ;when its hard everyone folds. For that reason alone Mcginnity will play even if he isnt the long term answer. We must reward consistent WAFL form.As much as the heart says "i want an improving Jetta in my team" the head says i dont want a "wet weather Jetta" in my team. This is going to be a fairly tough game methinks, and North would take a lot of heart out of that Adelaide game even though they are not as talented as Adelaide.

I dunno how we got here but I am not liking the 22. Our midfield is awfully thin this week and I'm worried.

McGinnity + Brown I get why they are selected, but neither belong in the 22.

I'm hoping an improved redden and Duggan along with sheed are in the team in a couple weeks time for brown, McGinnity and jetta/hutch

I'd like to get nelson in as well but not sure how. If lecca, Cripps and even masten don't start improving against better opposition they should get dropped also.

Jesus I count six midfielders including yeo and only two who can win effective clearances regularly. That would be OK if some of these other guys go through the middle for a chop out, but I struggle to see any that do it effectively.

Fair enough selections, Hill deserves to be straight back in, Jetta should be backed in, and Brown and Mcginnity did enough last week.

Let Redden and Duggan earn their spots. Nelson too.

Brown >>>>>> Giles.

Darling to the midfield. Simples.

I get the feeling we'll see Sharrod hit a few centre bounces

F*ck me sideways. How can we retain jetta and drop an inside mid against a qaulity side. Let jetta rot away for the royals this season and hopefully regain his hunger for 2017. We need inside players and we need them to start performing.

I have never blamed simmo for any of our losses but if we lose on sunday, im willing to blame simmo and mc for retaing an outside player in the expense of an inside mid.

Just as bad that Redden is wearing the guernsey, so not sure that's the best argument.

We wouldn't have gotten a first round pick for Sinclair, so Redden was arguably the more expensive trade.

I guess Redden has the excuse of the hernia, but still, he's playing for EP, not in the rehab group.

Wellingham playing in the WAFL after an interrupted pre-season also was made into a massive deal in the media. For some reason Redden just flies straight under the radar.

Some types just get treated more harshly than others.

Good call. Jetta provides the inside muscle we need in a predictably wet contested game against big bodies.
Love the post but will note that when we played Sydney in the rain Jetta was one of our best. He obviously won't be being tough and contested but he will be clean below his knees while the rest of our mids will be fumbling non stop
