Reckon McGovern will play for sure. Bye the following week and it is a cork not a massive injury which could do more damage. Worth the risk if he is only 80-90%.

In : Barass as extra coverage for talls.
Out : Selwood (This won't happen though)

Bottom line is probably unchanged. Want to see Sheed not as the sub though.

here is my thought on next week if i may:)

lets say turbo is fit to play and we do also decide to include barrass. who does tommy replace in the squad?? i dont want sheed to be dropped. as a matter of fact sheed being a sub is the worst case scenario for him. to me he is kind of a player who needs time in the game to adjust and build on his game, he is not an impact payer like what a sub to me is supposed to be, i would much rather have him i the middle with matt, luke and liam lie start of the season than him coming in as a sub. i dont understand why match committe continue to have him there. he doesnt need minutes to get his fitness back. i guess selwood is the reason behid that. personally i rather scooter to be dropped but it appears its not going to happen. so next best thing would be to have selwood as a sub, he might ot be an impact player but at least he would come in to shut down a plaer or lay down tackles. sheed is not that type of a player neither is he a player to come in and have 15 touches 3 goals in a quarter. so sheed sub is a defenite waste. if turbo is not fit than tommy comes in, but then again we have sub dilemma. this is a game where we need to get off to a good start like st kilda game or we will be in trouble. who do you guys think should be our sub??

It will largely depend on how our injury niggles come up after the Essendon game.

There was 3 to 4 players that finished sore.

dont you think sheed is a waste of talent as sub??
It's a good place to be in to be honest.

Last season we had a dearth of midfield depth. This season we have them coming out of our ears.

It's a long season and we will need them all if we are to play finals.

I think Friday's positional selection will have a bit to say about our strategy on Saturday

Very interesting Yeo spent a lot of time down back on Saturday - particularly against a side that didn't really have tall forwards

I wonder how much of our tactics involved keeping some lads fresh for Friday

I've brought in an avatar change out of respect for this weeks opposition, the "belt them when they aren't looking" Punt Road heroes.

Selection will be interesting. Hopefully we have managed the players well enough to have a red hot crack on Friday.

I really hope sub rule dies this offseason.

If they follow through and reduce allowed interchange to 80 - the sub rule will be superfluous

A major rationale was to stop clubs being able to "out-rotate" an opposition in the event of early injury

If rotations are genuinely capped - then the sub rule is no longer necessary
